I've been a fan of actor Dolph Lundgren, since his role as Andrew Scott in, "Universal Soldier."
So today when I had the chance to sit down and watch his latest action movie, "Missionary Man", I knew I couldn't resist.
First off, let me just say, despite that it's been several years since I've seen him back on the big screen or that he's gotten older and put on a little weight, the man can still kick ass and look good doing it.
In his latest movie, Dolph Lundgren plays a mysterious biker who comes to town to aide a friend's family who's been murder and seek revenge on those from his past. Armed with a bible and his bad ass attitude, Dolph Lundgren packs a powerful punch as he knocks off the bad guys one by one.
Even though Dolph Lundgren is typical for creating action packed roles,
don't let this movie fool you, it's anything but typical with a surprise ending.
One awesome note about this movie that I loved is that it is written and directed by none other than Dolph Lundgren himself. I can't wait to see what he's working on next!
Thanks for the review!
ReplyDeleteSince you seem to dig the D-man's work behind the camera (and you're right!), you should check out his first and sophomore works, "The Defender" and mostly, "The Mechanik" (a.k.a. "The Russian Specialist" in the US)...
And don't forget to visit www.dolph-ultimate.com, my website!
Thanks for the info and the link. It's good to know that there are other Dolph Lundgren fans still out there. BTW, I've seen both of the movies you have mentioned. I just didn't realize until now that he was behind the camera on those as well. Thanks for the heads up.
ReplyDeleteOMG, that's too funny. For a moment, I was watching a movie with him in it (forgot the name), but he reminds me so much of Arnie, it's not even funny. I don't remember the last movie I saw him in, either. My fav action guys like Van Damme and Seagal are all making straight-to-video movies now. I love martial arts movies and I'm still waiting to see new breakout star.
