I really don't understand all of the hub bub when it comes to ipods, but the teenagers and even some adults around here, certainly love them. I guess I am still faithful to my cd player since it accomplishes just as much as an ipod can.I mean sure, ipods are a lot smaller and you don't need a cd to play the tunes, but you can listen to just about the same amount of music. Cd's have advanced as well and I can guarantee my husband has a cd or two which contains about 1,000 full version songs on each cd.
But then I noticed that some ipods can go up to 40 hours on battery life. Very cool! They also allow you to play videos, something that cd players cannot. So maybe there really are some advantages to owning an ipod. right now however, an ipod is just not in my vocabulary.
Funny! I almost feel the same way... I'm just not a "new" gadgets person. The CD works just fine for me and I don't see immediate interest in the Ipod. My husband has one and loves it, but I think it's just another thing that needs additional parts to make it work even better. LOL!!

I got it as a very extravagant birthday gift last *July 4th* (whaaat?) and I use it every day as I walk to and from work. It opened up my dusty CD collection and allowed my to interact with the totality of my music collection in a way I would never have believed.
Plus it looks cool. :)

Everyone finds an opinion on Ipods and I am glad. If we were all the same, it'd be a boring world!
I am glad to hear that your Ipod changed your life. :) I am able to do the same with my CD player, minus the huge music collection and weight, but hey it works just as well for me. :D
