In an earlier post I mentioned missing Black Friday. Now I am glad I did. I don't honestly know what has gotten over some idiotic people, but this really takes the cake. A man was trampled to death after insane shoppers couldn't wait anymore for Wal-mart's black Friday specials, according to a New York Times Article,
What's even worse is that the article quoted: “When they were saying they had to leave, that an employee got killed, people were yelling, ‘I’ve been on line since yesterday morning,’ ” Ms. Cribbs told The Associated Press. “They kept shopping.”
My question is why? I mean I love bargains as much as the next person, but this is just beyond words.
I was so sad to hear about this. Have people really become this callous and uncaring? What a sad statement about our society and the importance we place on things versus human life.
ReplyDeleteThat is really disgusting. What are we in the west coming to. I don't think we have Black Friday in Canada but I am sure if we did we would be as guilty of avarice as our neighbour down south.
