Why are you wasting your life on video games and television?

It really amazes me how much time some people waste playing video games or watching television every moment of the day. You know the Peg Bundy type where they’re sitting in front of the tv eating bon bons and watching soap operas or talk shows all day long.

Hey, don’t get me wrong, once in a while it’s okay to watch your favorite showme 005 or go see a movie, but if it’s all you ever do, what do you really have to show for it? And if you’re really addicted like some of the gamers you hear about who refuse to even eat, sleep or take a break from the video game, you could lose your life over it, which has tragically happened in the gaming world more than once.

Instead, there are more important things in life like spending time learning new things, exploring new places even if it’s locally, or just spending the day with your friends and family.

If you want to play games, go out to the park and play with your kids, your spouse, your friends or family. Get together with old friends and swing happily from the jungle gym even if you’re 30 years old. Take a walk down a hiking trail or just go for a drive and enjoy the scenery. Just get up off your butt and spend your life exploring and learning, not killing your enemy or watching someone line up a row of girls and have them compete for your love. There’s better things to invest your life in.

  1. With the growing use of i-crap stuff, fb, people on their i-phones all the time; there's a lack of motivation to go out and hang with people. The last time I went out with a friend, she was checking her iphone all the time. I rather take her to my house and play video games together. Its annoying to go hang with people when they are more into their iphones then chatting.

Yes, its super dumb to not wash yourself and eat over games. Really stupid! But, I rather play video games with other people over the network than hangout with people that have their noses on their iphones or any cellphones all the time.

    Your friend,

  2. I wanted to fix something I said; There was plenty of fun chatting; however I still found it a bit annoying with the checking the phone all the time.
