February Goals and Kicking Butt in Income Sales my First Month

January was one of those months that seemed to just fly by. By the time I realized the month was almost up, I stewed and wondered if I would ever meet my January goals in time without ever realizing how far I was already there!

I must say, I was quite shocked at my accomplishments because there were a few like selling my motorcycle, I didn't think would get done due to it being the winter season.

I not only sold my motorcycle, but I promoted my novel and was able to get further with my youngest son's disability/SSI claim.

I'll be honest though, I didn't get around to cleaning out my last two chest of drawers or finishing one of my crafts as  I was hoping to do.

But, three out of five goals isn't too bad! I'm just thankful that I accomplished some of my January goals!

How much did I make in Income for January 2020:

  • My novel: $.0.00 in sales. I had a few bites, but I only promoted my novel a few days. I had a few potential fans/customers I interested in The Generation, but that's as far as it went. I'm  thinking I need to promote it to more than just my Facebook Business Account and personal page, which is the only social media sites I really promoted it on. Hmm.

  • My 1986 Honda Motorcycle: I sold my motorcycle for $550. It needed some work and a new battery, so I thought the price was fair. But, I had an offer of $500 for the bike several years ago, so the $550 was decent and more than I had been offered prior!

Total income for January 2020: $550

Not bad for stuff I had lying around that was not in use.

I honestly have no excuses for not cleaning or creating. Maybe, just maybe my ADHD kicked in high gear, or maybe it was because I was so tired from work 7 days in a row at my current job, that I got lazy. But, in all honesty I can only come to the realization that I just didn't do it! But, I'm looking at it this way, and I hope you do as well, $550 was more than I had last month that will be put towards moving!!! Yes, yes and yes!

When I took the step to move forward with my son's  disability case for moderate Autism, I was able to get him the interview he needed for SSI in less than a day! This was such a victory for my son! Now we wait for their official final verdict!

But for now, I think it's time to make some new goals for February of 2020. Ready Set...

February 2020 Goals:

  1. Work on a craft: Let's try this again. I have several and I mean several craft  projects that I'm working on that really need done. I have three paper mache hearts I am hoping to turn into ornaments or jewelry pieces. I'm really hoping sadly it's due to my ADHD and not anything else such as lack of interest, because honestly I love creating things out of recycled items! Maybe I can even sell one!
  2. Clean out those two chest of drawers: I'm fairly certain this is an ADHD issue. I've been trying to make some changes with my ADHD symptoms. It's been a one step at a time process and honestly, on some days I'm just to that point that I refuse to do anything and would rather play a bingo game to unwind and relax, sometimes a little too much. But, this is a minimalist must if we are going to live and in an RV.
  3. Post about a product I Love: I don't do this often, simply because most of the products and services out there disappoint me, but when I find one that has my attention, heck yes!
  4. Sells something on Facebook: I've tested the waters before with this one with DVDs and had some really good success. This time, I would love to test the waters with selling on Facebook by selling more than just DVDs.

Notice I only have 4 goals instead of the 5 I had last month? Well that's because I am  going to try to accomplish one goal each week to try to make it a little more achievable with my ADHD

I wonder, How have you tried to accomplish your own goals when struggling with a mental illness? What are your goals for February?

Hugs,
Joy
