Online Jobs and Those Get Rich Scams

I wonder, how many online users click on those ads that say, Real Job Opportunity Online. Make Money At Home. I know not all of them are bogus ads, but how do you tell what's real and what's not.

As a freelance writer I've learned a lot about online marketing opportunities. If they say make millions in a month, week, days, etc. They're most likely a scam. I don't know anyone who's made millions that quickly. Not even online guru and blogger, John Chow. It takes time and a lot of hard work to succeed in the online world of marketing. But that shouldn't be discouraging, however.

Companies like Stokes Media and HerMedia are seeing some success and have been for a very long time. While they might not be rich, they are able to put food on the table and share their success with others using various affiliate markets and some specific programs just like the Real Job Opportunity Online. Make Money At Home ads.

So of course they're all not bogus, it's just a matter of doing your research and finding out what's real and what's not.

Mid-Week November Financial Update

Because of the holidays I've been way behind in both posting and working and job opportunities online have been rare. I also had to use the credit card that is not a closed account to get my husband's glasses.

Usually when we pick up glasses from the eyewear shop, they've already filed his insurance and we get a check to pay for the glasses. Well for some reason this time, they didn't file his insurance. So in order to get his glasses we had to pay half down. Unfortunately half down was nearly half of what my husband and I make in a week, so we couldn't afford it out of pocket. So, I had to use the credit card.

The good news is, just as soon as we do get the check from the insurance company, that amount will go back on the credit card. Well, that is unless, something else goes wrong, sigh.

Blogging for a Company Without Guidelines

Sending opportunities to potential bloggers is great. What's not great is when complete guidelines are not including with those opportunities, and the bloggers are the ones who are blamed once an opportunity is submitted.

Bloggers enjoy what they do and when we're offered an opportunity to get paid for blogging, we enjoy it even more. However, when bloggers are treated with disrespect it becomes a problem. We don't want to blog for someone who sends us an invite to an opportunity, doesn't include the right information in the opportunity, expects bloggers to guess at it and then gives negative feedback for not being the right kind of blog.

If we're not the right kind of blog, don't send us an invite to the opportunity asking us to participate and then give negative because you didn't include the full guidelines for the opportunity in the first place. If you continue to run a company this way, you'll find that bloggers won't be interested in working for you, or listen to what you have to offer or say.

Take a Closer Look Before You Assume

I appreciate all of the writing opportunities that have been given to me from various clients. However, one thing that really bothers me.. and this goes for anyone who visits my blog. Before you jump the gun and email me about a particular post, look again and don't assume it's the writer.

More than once I have had to respond to problems that weren't a problem to begin with. I think the problem really lies with the fact that clients have a lot of articles they need written. So a lot of reviewers/writers are given those opportunities. Well, when the client goes back and has to view all of those opportunities they've given out, it can be a burn out at times and readings get rushed through. When you rush, you don't see the entire post and things are assumed. Then, a client's time is wasted as well as the writer's time. Of course this can go for a writer too... Not just a client. So, please.... Slow down, relax and don't rush through posts. Thank you.

My AC Opp Was Gone

I had just wrapped up my article for AC when I noticed that the reserved opp was gone! AHHHH! I doubled checked to make sure it wasn't a figment of my imagination, and of course, it wasn't. It kinda irks me because that opp was worth $5.00 and now it's worth nothing. Oh well. I went ahead and submitted the article without the payment opportunity. I think I am hoping they'll notice and send payment to me anyway. Hey, it's only $5!

SocialSpark Needs to Light My Fire

I have been a member of IZEA's SocialSpark for a few weeks now. To be honest, so far I am not excited about it. Social Spark is a lot like payperpost, only it's supposed to be better. You can chat with other members there, get a prop and wait in line for an opportunity.

While waiting in line may seem nice vs. first come first serve basis with payperpost, so far it's not. I have about 5 opps that I have been waiting for. None of which I have heard back from. Also, I have noticed that when a person takes an opportunity from socialspark and blogs about it, you get this annoying popup that blocks your view.

Also many other paying posts sites don't like those type of ads and find them to be a problem since they take up the entire page.

Okay, so there are some added bonuses to socialspark that are a nice feature. One of my favorites is the members comments about opportunities. This can come in handy if you're not so sure about writing for a certain opp.

Another is the hot blogs feature, although this is somewhat similar to payperpost's featured blogs area. Still, I love being able to check out other blogs!!!

All in all I'd say that socialspark does have some potential. I just really wish they'd get rid of those damn popup ads!!!!
