P&G Products Review

A great hello to my insanity readers. It has been a crazy day in the Smith-Anderson household and my only day off from work. Yet here I am because I love writing and because Shespeaks has done it again. They've partnered with P&G to share in the love of America's favorite products courtesy of P&G and sent a goody box to me.

Inside my goody box I found Olay moisturizing body wash, Gillette shave moisturizer, a tide to go pen and covergirl lipshine gloss, oh my. So many fun and fantastic products thanks to Shespeaks and P&G.

Now I have to admit not every product I received I loved. In fact, I hated the Covegirl duo step lip color in number 295 and clear gloss. While the color goes on great and the gloss gives a nice shine, it left my lips less than an hour later with minimal activity and created a sticky after feel.

However, I'm very fond of the Olay moisturizing body wash. In all honesty when I stepped in the shower, I was expecting the simpleness of a nice clean scent and not much else. What I got was the experience of a luxurious scent that left my skin feeling silky smooth even along after my shower. Kuddos for such an awesome body wash.

Of course for obvious reasons, I enlisted in the help of my father-in-law for his feedback on the Gillette shaving moisturizer. The result was a masculine clean scent that left his face soft to the touch after shaving. Now any woman could appreciate that I'm sure!

One of the biggest problems around our household is messes, especially on spaghetti night. The kids tend to leave a stain or two on their clothes and laundry is the last thing I want to be doing after a long day at work. The Tide on the go pen I've found is a fantastic alternative to keep those stains at bay until I can get those clothes washed. Plus, it's killer for those road trips when eating in the car is a must. A very good example of this is; me, white and fast food while driving. You can imagine the end result I'm sure!

All in all, I'd say P&G has got a good thing going with all of the great products they have to offer. I am very honored that I was chosen by Shespeaks to be a part of the experience in trying P&G's family of products. Thank you so very much!

Moving On

Then she shoved the pill bottle in between her anti aging skin products and closed the medicine cabinet with a loud bang. Damn him for making her feel this way!

She needed away from this house, away from him! But he would know if she left. He always knew! Then a thought hit her. He would know if she took the car, but he wouldn't have any reason to keep an eye on his ATV would he?

She smiled for the first time in months as she quietly slipped out of the bathroom and down the hall to the back door. Just a few more steps. "Where the hell do you think you're going?"

She froze at his angry words, but refused to turn and face him. "A walk. I was going to go for a walk."

"Liar." She cringed at his response and then heard his footsteps approach fast and hard.

"I did not throw this party for you to abandon it. Understand?"
She nodded as she felt him jerk her hair hard enough that she was suddenly falling backwards until she was lying on the ground. Then she felt his boot slam into her stomach.

"You should have taken your pills. you'd been better off. But, I'm tired of waiting." She watched in horror as he lifted his boot from her stomach and aimed for her head. She had to move. She needed to get away. The ATV. She could reach it. It was only a few feet away.

His boot met her face and she felt something warm run down her face as she rolled toward the off road vehicle. She could make it. She had to.

Missing Hair Products

After doing a little cleaning last night I'm a bit irked. I found that 3 of my hair tools are now missing. People are in and out of this house very seldom, so I have a good idea of where they walked off to. It's happened in the past, so it certainly would not be a first.

The only problem is, confronting that person may cause more problems than we really need right now. I think that's why the hubby kept asking, are you sure you just didn't move them. I'm very sure, but to reassure him, I'll be checking the rest of the house in case someone else moved them. I'd planned on doing that in the first place. And it might not be such a big loss, but the hair iron was a top of the line hair iron and if those items were stolen, there's no telling what else will come up missing next. sigh.

Ya I love to Write About Companies, but They're Not Always Sponsored!

I am having real difficulty understanding some companies. I was just told my account maybe suspended because I had two sponsored posts back to back. Funny because the post they were talking about isn't a sponsored post. I guess if you post about places like wal-mart or target because you love their stuff, you're automatically considered a sponsored post. I used to love target. I had brought several pieces of furniture from them that were awesome. I miss those guys.

Well, I won't apologize for writing about the things I love. I review bands, books and products that I don't see money for. Products I bought or saw face to face. I review them because I love their stuff or their work or I hate it. These people and places never sponsored me.

Take for instance Amazon.com. I talk about them all of the time because I used to work for them. I have bought several things from their website like Steve Borden's autobiography, a sushi cookbook and several other items. I've also written about products that were crap. Like the listerine whitening strip. If they ever sponsored me, I'd be shocked! I can still taste that nasty gummy strip. Yuck. It left such a bad taste in my mouth.

Well I guess if they're going to suspend my account, more power to them. I won't give up writing about things I love and hate. So sorry to disappoint you. Sponsored posts and some companies have just gotten ridiculous. Don't assume. Always ask.

Out with the Old, In With the New

I finally decided it was time to update my links a bit. Yes my friends, It's time to face reality....Elvis has finally left the building and gone home, forever.

Okay, so maybe that was just a little bit of my insane side seeping out. Seriously though, I needed to update my blog, so I started with links. Here's the rundown.

Out with the Old:
  • If the link hadn't been updated in months, it was deleted from my blog.
  • If it's not something I'll promote, it went bye bye.
  • If the page to the link was changed and it's not something I think my readers would really be interested in, it went out the door.
  • If I added you and you promised a link back and never delivered, you're gone.
In with the New:
  • I added a blogroll from the good old state of Kansas
  • I added a few new links and blogs that I am currently reading
  • I added a blogroll called, The Top Recommended Products
In time, I will probably update my blog with a fresh new layout. So stay tuned! By the way, if you find your blog has been deleted and feel it's an error... Let me know and I'll be happy to check your link out and go from there.....

Stress and Skin Care

At one time in my life when I was overloaded with stress, I let it take it's toll and I looked way older than I really was! Not a good thing! So, I try to let go of stress (hasn't happened as far as health lately) when it's possible and at least keep my skin looking its best.

Actor, Tom Cruise actually inspired me when it came to skin care. Yep, I kid you not. He quoted in an article to his wife actress, Katie Holmes that the reason he looks so young is because he uses an SPF product on his face, each and every day. He's been doing it for years. Tom Cruise taking care of his skin!!! It certainly doesn't surprise me.

Skin care is important and in order to keep skin healthy, keeping your skin in tip top shape on a daily basis, is a must. Not just any skin product will do, however. Your skin is delicate and throwing on a product that isn't meant for your skin type can actually worsen it.

When you choose a skin care product, look for one that is dermatologist-tested and recommended if you can. Dermatologists work with skin everyday, so they are an excellent source of information when you're trying to find the right skin care regimen for for your skin.

Not sure where to start? Do your research. Ask your own dermatologist what they would recommend or surf the web like I do and check out the latest in great skin care product. Like for Example: Borba's Skin Care.

Borba's skin care products are dermatologist-tested and recommended. Want more information? Check out their blog. If you're not sure what products to look for specifically, check out those that are getting rave reviews. Like their, Gummi Boosters and HD-Illuminating Plasma Crystals.

Borba even has a few famous faces on their skin care list like, Jack Osbourne and Whitney Port of the television show, "The Hills."

Now, Tom Cruise or his wife Katie Holmes are not listed, but who knows. Maybe they'll check out Borba someday.

Interested in checking out Borba for yourself or someone you know? Borba is offering a special promotion right now for visitors from their site that purchase $100 or more in Borba Skin Care Products. For further information, please see details here: Borba Promotion.
