The Rock and Elvis Presley

Last night my husband and I were watching The Rock's latest movie, "The Game Plan." It's a great Disney movie that everyone in the family can enjoy. In the movie, The Rock portrays a self-centered football player who idolizes Elvis Presley. In one scene he brings out his guitar and sings an Elvis Presley tune to win his daughter's heart back. It hasn't been the first time I have seen his movie, The Game Plan," but every time I hear him sing...I am amazed. Not only is the Rock a wrestler and an actor, he seems to be really good a singing as well. The proof is in the video! Enjoy!!

For those who are skeptical on whether or not The Rock really sings in the movie... Here it is....Enjoy!!!

Karaoke and People From the Past

Last night was just want of the nights where it was time for a break away from the house. So we went to Karaoke. I'm not much for drinking, so when we found a place that does Karaoke and keeps drinking to a minimum, I was thrilled. I love sining, but it's rare for me to get to do so in front of crowds. The minute we walked in, we discovered the place was small (Just to my liking)and my husband was recognized by old friends of his mother. He then found old friends from grade school. So, it was nice that he was able to find old friends again.

Eventually some other friends of ours joined us, which made things even more interesting since one of our friends is in a band. He sang karaoke and had the crowd asking for more.lol It was pretty cool. A fun night all and all and we managed to get home before midnight!

The Opera at Work

Today was truly an experience at work. After lunch, one of our co-workers sang an opera song to us.

As it turns out, he's actually a professional opera singer who tours the country. He's been singing for 15 years. He's here in Kansas because he's visiting family. I guess he decided to work with us because he wanted a little extra spending money while he was in town.

Anyway, it was my first experience..listening to a professional opera singer.. soo it was nice.
