The Biggest Loser
I'm not usually a fan of reality shows. to me their a cheap budgeted waste of airtime that do nothing but suck away your life. But, there are a few that I do watch that are worth it, one of them being The Biggest Loser. The show is such an inspiration for so many people and I hope that NBC, Bob and Jillian are able to continue doing the show for many years to come. Our health has gotten out of control and we truly need to change our ways and become the next inspiration for our people of this world.

Hey, Where's CSI?
I miss CSI though. I do get to catch up with it on CBS's website which is nice. The last episode I saw was where Warrick was shot and killed. Such a shame. My favorite character is Grissom. Poor guy though, they put him through soo much hell.

Mrs. Garrett is Back!!!
It's been years since I've seen her on the big screen and now it looks like she'll be teaching Adam Sandler the facts of life (ha. pun intended) in his new movie, "You Don't Mess with the Zohan." How insane is that????
It's a small role, according to Yahoo News, but it's just great to know that she's back!!! 82 and still awesome, and beautiful!!!

Jenessa (Boey) and Extreme Home Makeover Edition
I have always been a big fan of the television show Extreme Home Makeover Edition. Not only does Extreme Home Makeover Edition show some fabulous work by the design team, they also give that time and hard work to a family who is in need of that new home. Awesome work and an awesome cause! This week's show was about the Byers family from Corvallis, Oregon. Their 8 year old daughter Jenessa (known as Boey to her family) had been battling cancer since 2006, and just when they thought she was getting better, the cancer came back. But even while she was battling cancer, Jenessa would go to other cancer stricken children in the hospital and deliver stuffed animals she had bought with her allowance. She was known as an inspiration and wanted to put a smile on other children's faces, even when she was in pain herself. She even went as far as starting a blog.
Generally Extreme Home Makeover Edition's shows end in happiness. Sadly on December 28th, 2007, Jenessa passed away due to pneumonia.
I am not a big fan in the belief of god. However, Jenessa was a believer and I believe even now, she is caring for the children who have passed away from illness, just as she did in life.
It just goes to show us that without the strength of our children, there is no hope for this world. Jenessa is hope as well as our own children who have the strength to survive in this insane world.
I may not physically know Jenessa, yet she will always be remembered.

Dancing and Singing Just Because...
Isn't this the greatest thing? Want to know a little more about him? Check out this link: May I Have This Dance?
Also, because of his fun little show, he'll be on the morning show on Fox this morning with Mike and Juliet. How cool is that?

What Made Me Break Down and Cry
I usually don't write posts like this one, but I was surfing the web and found an episode of ER that fans submitted. I have been a fan of ER since the show first aired. Because I don't have cable, it's rare for me to get to see my one of my favorite shows. This episode is one of the best I have ever seen from ER. It' s the aftermath of what happened when a hostage situation occured in the hospital.
Warning: This is a show and episode that is not suitable for children due to the violence, blood and rape situations.

Surviving in the Big City
No food. No money. No resources..... and an unknown city. What if this happened to me? How would I survive? It's a question USA Network wants to know.
Even in a city, mother nature surrounds us, so I would look for fruit trees, bushes, etc. If there were none, I would look at what I have on me. Do I have anything to trade? Or, could I get a job? If it's a big city, often times, employees will hire on the spot. For water, I would look for the local park. Most local parks have water fountains. Public restrooms also have water fountains. There may also be local shelters, if not I'd look for a church. Most churches will have information on where to find free food and shelter. Also, many local restaurants are willing to part with food at the end of the day. Since there are no resources however, churches and local shelters would probably be out. Sleeping might be in hidden tunnels, parking garages, anything open 24/7 such as bus stations or airports. Depending on the weather, the best thing to do is sleep somewhere covered. If worse came to worse, alley garbage cans where food places throw out items are a good source for food.
Now that you know what I would do, check out CIA Operative, Michael Weston and find out how he would survive with USA Network's Burn Notice.

Whatever happened to Actor Leonardo Dicaprio?
Years ago, several friends and I gathered together to share a love for actor Leonardo Dicaprio and his works. It was right around the time he hit it big with his movie, Titanic. For some of us, it was his handsome face that caught our attention, for others it was simply his acting. But for most it was definetly those handsome features! For me however, it was his approach towards the media and his love for our earth.

Yes, I can agree Leonardo Dicaprio had several great movies, like:
- The Quick and the Dead
- This Boy's Life
- The Man in the Iron Mask
- The Basketball Diaries
- The Beach
- Blood Diamond
- Romeo + Juliet
- What's Eating Gilbert Grape
- Catch Me If You Can
- Titanic
As you can see, the actor had a variety of roles over the years that fans cherished him for. But in the more recent years, Leonardo Dicaprio hasn't been doing as well in his chosen roles, or at least that's how I viewed it. Maybe it's just my own personal opinion, but even his most recent movie "The Aviator", wasn't an eye-catcher flick for me. In fact, since the release of the movie, I've lost interest in his acting. "The Aviator" I honestly found to be quite boring.
And let me tell you, it wasn't that I just wasn't giving his work a chance. I considered the idea that maybe, just maybe I had outgrown the actor or his latest movie just wasn't a role I found to be my style. Unfortunatly, I came to the conculsion that it wasn't that I had outgrown his chosen roles or that "The Aviator" just wasn't my cup of tea. After his more recent role, I waited and watched two other movies, The Departed, which wasn't boring, but also didn't hold my interest, and "Revolutionary Road" with "Titanic" co-star Kate Winslet, which I found to be as boring as "The Aviator."
So I wonder is it just me? Opinons anyone? What are your thoughts about the actor? I do understand his passion and involvement for the earth, but maybe there's a possibility that he's just grown tired of acting? No matter the reason, I hope for his sake he can continue to pull off his success as an actor (not a boy toy) and environmentalist in the years to come. After all, what better role model whom he idolizes in a sense than actor Robert De Niro who is still loved by fans and the entertainment industry to this day.
