The Trust

Why do people lie? Is it for the attention or maybe they just want what they can't have? Or maybe they're afraid of telling the truth, afraid of the consequences. And why are people so selfish? Do they not care so much that they block out what they dare not see? Are their wants really much more important than everyone else around them? OR are they just that greedy?

Really, what is with people today? Do they not care how lies and selfishness can impact those nearest to them. those who care about them, those who love them. And if it's not lying or being selfish, they use people or they're in denial about their life. They use people for their own selfish purposes, never thinking of the consequences until it's too late. These are the people that surround me and you.

Reality is an illusion. One that we as people trust and believe in, only to learn that trusting someone can make us vulnerable. It can make us weak and cause us to lose track of who we really are.

So for many of us, we turn to stories and bury ourselves into a fantasy world through books and writing in hopes that we never have to face reality even if in truth it's for a few minutes or hours.

But, there will come a time when we to put down that book and look past the illusion. We have to find ourselves and move forward. We have to learn to trust once again.

Have a Little Faith in Me

Exactly how I am feeling right now.....

"Have a little faith in me" by John Hiatt

When the road gets dark
And you can no longer see
Just let my love throw a spark
And have a little faith in me
And when the tears you cry
Are all you can believe
Just give these loving arms a try
And have a little faith in me

Have a little faith in me
Have a little faith in me

And when your secret heart
Cannot speak so easily
Come here darling, from a whisper start
And have a little faith in me
And when your back's against the wall
Just turn around and you, you will see
I will catch you, I will catch your fall
Just have a little faith in me

Have a little faith in me
Have a little faith in me

Cause I've been loving you, for such a long, long time
Expecting nothing in return
Just for you to have a little faith in me
You see time, time is our friend
Cause for us, there is no end
And all you gotta do, is have a little faith in me
I will hold you up, I will hold you up
And your love, gives me strength enough to
Have a little faith in me
Hey hey
All you gotta do for me girl
Is have a little faith in me

Sometimes....

Sometimes at work when there's not a lot to do or my thoughts simply take the rest of me hostage, I'll write ideas down for my next post on the back of company scrap paper. Lately I've been doing a lot of writing, so I will warn you now... There may be a lot more of me here in the next few weeks.

Right now my ideas are all over the place. All over my desk...to be exact. So now that you've been warned, I'll be posting at least one more insane mind post sometime between today and tomorrow. And then it's back to work I go! How utterly boring! Can someone just automatically make me rich or pay me for a job that doesn't require me to find amusing ways to keep myself awake???

Well, that's what I get for working for a company who can't keep their head on a swivel and be ready for a drop! HA! Must thank my boss for the head on a swivel thing.

What Women Are Really Thinking

My aunt sent this to me through email and I thought I would share it with you. I found it to be interesting since most of these are true in one way or another.I added my own comments in red.

1. Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up. Almost always true!

2. Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house. The first part can be true, but I've been known to actually be ready in five minutes! The second part to this is true.

3. Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine. Yep. I most certainly have to agree with this one. It can also mean we just don't want to tell you and you should already know.hehe I know you guys are not psychic either.

4. Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It! Okay everyone, repeat after me... DON'T DO IT!!!

5. Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.) For me it usually means, "I give up."

6. That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake. If it's not okay, I'll say so.

7. Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or Faint. Just say you're welcome. Yep

8. Whatever: Is a women's way of saying F@!K YOU! Well, my husband tends to say this on a daily basis to me. So I hope this one is not true!

9. Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has
told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking "What's wrong?" For the woman's response refer to #3. Exactly.
