“Watch your step.” He said as they descended down the cold concrete steps. The stairs led to the back exit of the warehouse the same exit she had found earlier. In a matter of seconds they were outside in the chilling night air unnoticed by anyone. There was only one thing that still sat in the back of her mind and now was the time she realized. She had to know.
Clearing her throat she asked “The guy that stabbed you was he there tonight?”
“Yes.” He said not stopping. Allie cringed at that thought as she followed Matt into the dark cold night.
