What's With the Movies on the PS3

I wonder, can someone explain to me why some new releases are only buyable on the PS3, while others are both rentable and buyable?

My husband ran across the problem of the movie, The Crazies only being available to buy, while he was able to choose to either rent or buy the Green Zone. I thought maybe it was because The Crazies doesn't include major actors and wasn't a blockbuster hit at the box office, but it recieved a 4 1/2 star rating out of 5 from PS3 users and a lot of friends seemed to have really liked the movie, so what gives?

Taking a Walk

I walked 5 miles to the Independence Public library today. I really thought I was in shape for the walk, but as it turns out... I'm really not. I guess I need to start getting out and walking more often. The walk was not only exhausting, I'm tired because of it and a nap is something I can't afford to take right now.

At least it's peaceful and quiet right now.lol My son has been playing video games and watching movies constantly for the past several days. Getting out of the house did him some good. He was asking me about watching a movie when he got back and I'm holding him off for a while.lol I like the peace and quiet.

Besides, when the hubby gets home their going to be playing video games all night long anyway. The silence is so very nice.

We're Headed Back to the Past

Looks like we're headed to 10,000 B.C. The movie of course. My husband decided that since it's playing at our local theater here, he wanted to see it while we had the chance. Generally he gets free tickets because of work, but today, we're on our own. The great thing is, Matinees are always cheaper. Plus, less of a crowd. And... of course... it's a chance for us to get out and about.

10,000 B.C. looks like an interesting movie. Here's a trailer in case you might be interested in seeing the movie yourself.

Patrick Swayze and Pancreatic Cancer

I was in shock again after reading about one of my favorite actors, today.

Sadly, actor Patrick Swayze is being treated for pancreatic cancer. While many rumors have been claiming that he has only 5 weeks to live, his doctor says, that's just not true. Patrick has very little of the disease and treatment is going well. While Patrick Swayze is not 100% better, his doctor is optimistic.

In the mean time, Patrick has decided not to let the cancer stop him in doing what he loves best. He is continuing his work on upcoming film and television projects. I hope that he continues to recover and is 100% cured.

There is enough death in Hollywood, and after the recent tragic passing of actor Heath Ledger, the world does not need another fallen hero.

In a final note: If you have not seen any of Patrick Swayze'swork... I suggest, Dirty Dancing, Ghost, Roadhouseand The Outsiders. Four of my favorite Swayze movies.
