Jason Mewes and Tattoos

My husband is a movie lover. At one time he actually owned more than 600 movies. His favorite movies is his National Lampoon Collection which for the most part, I deem as stupid with the exception of the Chevy Chase ones and a few.

A recent venture outside of our home had us stopping at Blockbuster where he found one of the National Lampoon movies he'd been looking for, you know that one with Paris Hilton. Turns out, not only was it stupid, it was covered in scratches and refused to play most of the movie. Well, really. What did we expect for a $4.99 used movie.

Still, one once great advantage of buying used movies from Blockbuster is, if there is ever any problem with the DVD you can exchange it for another, so my husband did just that. This time he got Paris Hilton's Bottoms Up. What the hell is with this Paris Hilton fascination anyway?

This time, to be honest, it was the first movie she starred in where she didn't actually suck at the role. In addition to Miss Hilton, the movie also stars Jason Mewes from the Jay and Silent Bob movies.

What did suck was the constant spewing of the word fuck in some form throughout the entire movie. I honestly don't mind curse words in a movie, but that was just ridiculous. I must admit though, in addition to loving Jason Mewes' tattoos, he's also a fairly decent actor and by far better than you know who.

I'm still trying to figure out what the tattoo is on the back of his neck, however. Any clues?

Owning Words

If you haven't checked out the latest in celebrity news, you're not missing much. I did find it disturbing however that celebrities are now owning simple words and suing if anyone uses them. Take Paris Hilton for example. Her most recent reason for being in the news is because she's suing Hallmark cards for use of her photo and the phrase "That's Hot."

Okay, her photo I can understand. But the phrase, "That's Hot?" Come on give me a break! Okay, so that apparently was just the tip of the iceberg. Even more disturbing is the fact that she owns those words! Huh?? How can you own simple words as that's hot?

So now I am wondering, does that mean if Paris Hilton happens to be in a restaurant and a waitress happens to say something like, "Be careful, that's hot!", Paris is going to sue them??? I feel for the waitresses in this world. Look out! You maybe next. If people are allowed to own simple words like those, what's next?

I can see it now actually. We'll never be able to talk again for fear of being sued! I know, I know. Paris isn't the first celebrity or company to get their greedy little paws on words, but this in my opinion has gotten way out of hand!

It's already a known fact that we can go to jail for freedom of speech, but now we have to deal with getting sued for freedom of speech as well...... and that's not so hot!

Paris Hilton Goes Home

Something I'm sure everyone already knows... Paris Hilton was released from jail today for serving her time. I am glad she was able to control her emotions while serving out the rest of her time. I know she has said she's changed and while I don't expect her to change for the world, I hope she has learned to at least be more careful and not drink and drive. I certainly don't expect her to change her life and become someone she truly isn't just for the public and I don't think the public should expect it either. Just my thoughts. I wish you the best of Luck, Paris.

For the Weekend Fans

This past weekend was quite interesting. We decided to camp with friends of ours, but before then I needed to get the kids some clothing, since they didn't really have any when they came to visit. I'm on a budget and as much as I'd love to run out and buy everything new for my kids, I didn't. Simply put. Instead I went yard sale shopping with a friend of mine, early Saturday morning. The first sale we stopped at I was able to get a lot of nice clothing for my five year old. Then we stopped at several other sales and found clothing for my 10 year old as well as clothing for my soon-to-be step-daughter. My oldest son and my soon-to-be step-son were a little more difficult to find. I did manage some books while I was out and about for the kids and then it was off to wal-mart for shopping with two other friends of mine for a camping trip.

While we were there, I spotted my cousin and his wife. I ran (yes ran) over to him to say hi and let them know I moved the wedding to July. Then from the distance my friend P called me over, so we could get a move on with the grocery shopping for the camping trip. With her of course was my friend O. My cousin looks over at them and says who's that and I tell him. Yeah M, I know you were checking them out! It was funny, but I doubt his wife saw it that way!

So after the shopping trip, we were headed to the camp grounds. Meanwhile, my fiance needed to pick up his kids for the trip at their mom's house. She lives about 20 minutes from us. Then 20 minutes back to town and another 20 to the lake where we camped at. In between he would stop at wal-mart and then his dad's house to pick up a tent. Well, the rest of us decided to head out to the camp since we didn't think it would take very long for my fiance to meet us. It took my fiance 4 HOURS before he finally made it to the camp! Apparently, he had to listen to his dad warn him about a family member, then he had to talk to his ex about the kids and he picked up more supplies than we anticipated at wal-mart, plus made a stop at the bait shop. I wonder if he stopped in electronics at wal-mart to browse as well....LOL So by the time he got there, it was getting dark. I think the best part about the camping trip was when O's son was found the next morning, sleeping in his that he'd managed to turn upside down in his sleep in the middle of the night. For the most part the trip was great! It was nice to be able to get out and spend time with family and friends.

While we were there however, we learned that our cell phones didn't have a signal. Not a big deal to us, but apparently it was to my father because when I returned I had several voicemail hang ups and when I finally did call him back, he nearly chewed me out for no signal! I mean WTF? That is a bit ridiculous. Maybe I could understand if it were an emergency, but it wasn't. So much for a finale of a nice and relaxing weekend.

Now that I am back to work, it's been enjoyable. Today I was surfing a few other blogs when I ran across this one: http://adventuresincyberia.blogspot.com/
It pokes a little fun at Paris Hilton using The Sims characters. Very Cute!

Now, it's time for me to slip out into the real world now and get some dinner for the kids.

Paris Hilton SERVE YOUR TIME

I am beginning to think that actress/heiress Paris Hilton is anything, but human. After seeing today's headlines about her early release, I am also beginning to lose faith in the law. Yes, the news is reporting that she had some unspecified illness that prevents her from serving time.... BUT WHO THE HELL BELIEVES THAT???? Come on!!!!!

And what gives with the security bracelet? Big deal! She can still have fun. If you're going to jail, it's not suppose to be fun. Getting into trouble is not suppose to be fun. What does that show today's youth? It's okay to get into trouble because in the end it will be fun????

I do have one positive note. I must commend those that are questioning the release. Kuddos to those doing something about her early release.

You can read more about that here: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070608/ap_en_ce/paris_hilton

Kuddos Goes Out to the Judge!!!!

A bit long, but well said...

Now if you're still with me... Finally! A judge who is willing to treat someone with money and fame like a real person. If it were someone who wasn't famous, I know there would be a lot more people not giving a crap and saying they deserved what they got. Paris is human, humans make mistakes. Live up to your mistake, Paris. Everyone else has to. I am hoping the time in jail will help Paris to realize that life isn't just about fun and games. Show your fans the right way to do things. Show them a positive image. Care about others rather than yourself, please.

I don't know what her mother was thinking to say something like that to the judge. Yes, she is a mother, but mom... what would have happened if Paris had killed someone or killed herself? Would your reaction be the same? Take your tit out of your daughter's mouth and let her learn from her mistakes, please! There are young people out there who follow in your daughter's footsteps! What would happen if one of those fans drives drunk and kills someone or kills your daughter?? Then what? Everyone makes mistakes, even our children. We can either guide them down the wrong path or we can guide them down the right path.

Please guide them down the right path! Our children are our future!
