Fast Forward
She knew that voice, heard it somewhere before, except he’d been talking about cheap auto insurance. A commercial? She tried to shake her head. That couldn’t be right. Something about a taxi. Taxi? Damn. Why couldn’t she remember anything?
“Stop squirming.” He said. Had she been?

How I Shop Cheap Online
I don't do much online shopping, but when I have in the past I always made sure I got the best sale price possible. Even a low discount price is never a guarantee, however. So, I take things one step further by looking for promotional codes that offer further savings and/or free shipping.
And speaking of free shipping, I generally steer clear of any website that doesn't offer it. I've found that most places may have a really good bargain going on, but their shipping fees are generally outrageous. I know it might seem like a bit of a hassle, but it's worth the savings in the end and especially now more than ever with the economy's fall.
What are some of your tips for shopping online?

Cheap Laptop
For those who do not know, I am a huge Sony Laptop fan. The first time I went on a search for a new notebook, I found a sony that I fell in love with. During that time however, I wasn't able to afford one. Right now I still can't!
But, one of these days when I am able to get things financially sorted, I plan on investing in a really good notebook like a Sony Vaio. I know they might not be very cheap, but I've noticed that when you invest in a cheap laptop or any cheap electronic equipment, there's almost always a huge problem with it. And that is quite obvious with the piece of junk I have right now! Mine is definitely not worth the $900 I paid for it!

Advice on Web Hosting
I've been looking into web hosting for a while now. If I want to really expand my income online, I need to think of the bigger picture as far as online services.
However, I also want the best rates with a great service. While I don't want to be paying $10 a month for web hosting, I also don't want to be paying $5 a month for web hosting that charges hidden fees or has lousy web hosting service.
Sometimes I wonder if it's a no win situation, but then I just found out about web hosting rating and I like it. Their site offers a review of different web hosts with prices and a rating system of who is good and who is better.
They also rank the web host providers and tell you how much of a limitation you have as far as usage space and visitors. How insane is that?
Okay, so I must admit, I also love their articles. There is some great advice in the form of how-to's when it comes to using web hosting, deciding on a domain name or just knowing what all of the technical mumble jumble means. Sooo very cool. I'm always up for learning new things!
I actually found an article that is right up my alley too! lol Should You Purchase Cheap Hosting. It gave me an interesting insight on why there are some advantages to spending a little more on better web hosting.
So, if things really pick up as far as my freelance writing and other projects online, I probably will consider getting some sort of web hosting package. What do you think? What would you choose or recommend? I'm always open for advice.

Going Eco-Friendly
Now that global warning is upon us, we have to take our environment seriously. There’s no more pretending that everything will be okay because to be honest, it won’t. We already know that recycling our plastics, paper and glass containers will help, but what else can we do? How else can we make a difference? It’s not hard to make the right choices and now everywhere we look, more and more companies are making their products eco-friendly. Even technology products are going green. From Apple to Hewlett Packard to Canon, everyone is making a difference in the environment.
Recycling is easy, but how do you know what to look for when replacing the technology in your home or at the office. Simple. Do your research. Visit places like superwarehouse that offer a great selection of eco-friendly brands like, Apple, Canon and Hewlett Packard. You can replace everything from digital cameras to HP Desktops and even that cheap printer you’ve been meaning to upgrade.
If you’re worried about the expense, don’t be. Eco-friendly products are getting cheaper by the minute. I’m even thinking about going eco-friendly with a new notebook at least. It’s definitely time to replace this piece of junk. But for right now, I’m adding energy saving lights that are better for the environment to our light fixtures and reusing recyclable plastic bags to help our environment.
What about you? What ways are you help with our threat of global warming? Do you recycle products if possible? Have you bought eco-friendly products or made your home more eco-friendly? What about the office? Are you doing anything there? Does your company use eco-friendly technology or are they still using products that are in a serious need of an upgrade?
No matter where you are in life, there’s always something you can do to help with our environmental threat. Even if you can’t afford to purchase a new computer that is eco-friendly right now, you could always talk to your local library and see if they would be willing to upgrade their computers. Or you can recycle books, newspapers, magazines, etc. Everyone can do their part. No job is too small. Every little bit helps. We can fight global warming just like superwarehouse is doing. If they can do it, so can we. Lets not try or we'll see. Lets do it!

Time for the Eye Doctor Again
Zenni has glasses starting at $8 with free options like scratch resistant lenses. Something any child could definitely use. Zenni cuts out the middle man, so maybe that's why they're so cheap. Apparently the company has been getting some positive reviews because the latest is: Zenni on Fox. Fame can be good! Kind of like when I got my short break on CNN's website.
What do you think? Would you rather buy glasses face to face or if you can find them cheaper, would you buy them online?
Please Note: This is a paid post and is sponsored by Zenni Optical and Payperpost.

Saving Money and Hormone Issues Thanks to the Kansas Cows
Since we still have the rental car until this evening, yesterday I made a trip to the grocery store. Normally we go to the store at least once a week, but because gas prices have gone insane, I decided to stock up for a few weeks worth of groceries.Usually I spend on an average about $100 a week for groceries, but this time I only spent a little under $40 a week. That's really good, especially since our cabinets were completely bare! I managed to save quite a bit because I ended up cutting out beef and dairy entirely. Instead, I stocked up on soy milk and cheese, fish, turkey and veggie meatless crumbles. I didn't do this to save money either. I did it because my husband and I think he may have a hormonal imbalance (which could explain his mood swings, lack of energy and foggy memory lately). I was doing some research about hormonal imbalance in both men and women and learned that one of the major culprits could be due to the chemicals and hormones that manufacturers add to beef and milk.
I honestly don't know if it will really make a difference, but it's a healthier choice in the long run anyhow.

For the Weekend Fans
While we were there, I spotted my cousin and his wife. I ran (yes ran) over to him to say hi and let them know I moved the wedding to July. Then from the distance my friend P called me over, so we could get a move on with the grocery shopping for the camping trip. With her of course was my friend O. My cousin looks over at them and says who's that and I tell him. Yeah M, I know you were checking them out! It was funny, but I doubt his wife saw it that way!
So after the shopping trip, we were headed to the camp grounds. Meanwhile, my fiance needed to pick up his kids for the trip at their mom's house. She lives about 20 minutes from us. Then 20 minutes back to town and another 20 to the lake where we camped at. In between he would stop at wal-mart and then his dad's house to pick up a tent. Well, the rest of us decided to head out to the camp since we didn't think it would take very long for my fiance to meet us. It took my fiance 4 HOURS before he finally made it to the camp! Apparently, he had to listen to his dad warn him about a family member, then he had to talk to his ex about the kids and he picked up more supplies than we anticipated at wal-mart, plus made a stop at the bait shop. I wonder if he stopped in electronics at wal-mart to browse as well....LOL So by the time he got there, it was getting dark. I think the best part about the camping trip was when O's son was found the next morning, sleeping in his that he'd managed to turn upside down in his sleep in the middle of the night. For the most part the trip was great! It was nice to be able to get out and spend time with family and friends.
While we were there however, we learned that our cell phones didn't have a signal. Not a big deal to us, but apparently it was to my father because when I returned I had several voicemail hang ups and when I finally did call him back, he nearly chewed me out for no signal! I mean WTF? That is a bit ridiculous. Maybe I could understand if it were an emergency, but it wasn't. So much for a finale of a nice and relaxing weekend.
Now that I am back to work, it's been enjoyable. Today I was surfing a few other blogs when I ran across this one: http://adventuresincyberia.blogspot.com/
It pokes a little fun at Paris Hilton using The Sims characters. Very Cute!
Now, it's time for me to slip out into the real world now and get some dinner for the kids.

Phone Cards and Free Calls
Ever tried to make calls internationally and then get your phone bill afterwards? Pretty crazy isn't it? I know in the past when I've called friends overseas, my phone bill got really ridiculous. I could make one call, talk for maybe 20 minutes and that call would cost me $40 or more. Nowadays I'm lucky enough to even be able to call anywhere here in the US.
If you have friends and family overseas, then a Pingo online calling card may very well be your way to save on those calls! Pingo phone cards also allow you to make calls here in the united states as well. So what's so enticing about Pingo, really?
- They have great rates internationally.
- You can get 4 hours of free international calls when you sign up with Pingo!
- There are no hidden charges or fees.
- If you have a cell phone, you can save up to 90% on your calls!
You can get $5 in free calls by simply telling a friend about Pingo with their Refer-A-Friend program. - You can make $15 through their affiliate program, each time a new customer signs up.
- There are no pin numbers to remember every time you dial to make a call.
Still want more? Check out Pingo’s RateWatcher. The RateWatcher allows you to see who has the lowest call card rate available.
If you're still not sure, check out their great Rates. You can call an unbelievable 2 cents per minute to Brazil! How cool is that? Got loved ones over in Saudi Arabia? It's only 6 cents per minute!
I really don't believe I've seen a better deal yet with calling card plans. I think Pingo is a great way to call, especially if you make a lot of calls to overseas.
What would it hurt to give them a try? You never know. You may very well like what Pingo has to offer!
