How I Shop Cheap Online

I don't do much online shopping, but when I have in the past I always made sure I got the best sale price possible. Even a low discount price is never a guarantee, however. So, I take things one step further by looking for promotional codes that offer further savings and/or free shipping.

And speaking of free shipping, I generally steer clear of any website that doesn't offer it. I've found that most places may have a really good bargain going on, but their shipping fees are generally outrageous. I know it might seem like a bit of a hassle, but it's worth the savings in the end and especially now more than ever with the economy's fall.

What are some of your tips for shopping online?

I Hate Our Post Office!

With as little time as I have on my hands and as little time as our local post office decides to keep it's window open, I rarely make it to the post office on time for anything. It took me nearly a month to get stamps from them because they no longer have a stamp machine in their lobby. If you work beyond 1pm on a weekday? Forget about it. And weekends? Well, you can forget about them too because the post office is closed.

So what the hell is a girl to do if she needs something the post office? Well... Forget About them! I found a really great place that has all sorts of postage and office supplies like, postage tape, labels, etc. Now you could easily check out the local post office online, but I bet they can't beat the free shipping offer that Labelvalue.com has to offer!

Now I wouldn't knock the local post office out all together because you know they're good for postage stamps, but hey.... Who says we have to buy the rest of our postage needs from them! Time to save some time and make our days a little less stressful. What do you think? Any other places that you find are a great help?

Averatec 3200 and memory upgrades

My averatec 3200 laptop has been giving me a lot of problems lately. The most recent trouble being, it will shut down when I'm in the middle of watching a video like abc's extreme makeover: home edition. A few days ago I went through and defragged the hard drive and I even went as far as cleaning dust from the laptop ad the cooling fans. For a while, it helped, but I've still noticed it lags behind.

I've mentioned it in the past, and I still wonder if maybe there is a problem with my laptop's system memory. I'm pretty sure that even if that isn't the exact problem with my laptop, it could use new memory, anyway.

I noticed that Buy.com has a decent selection of memory and reasonable prices, some even with free shipping. How insane is that?

I just wonder if they have anything for my averatec 3200 piece of junk. Well, it never hurts to take a look.

Work and Bathroom Faucets

One of our complaint's today at work was about the water pressure not at full speed through our bathroom faucets. It's not the first time someone has complained, but I certainly hope it will be our last.

Interestingly enough, the water pressure is fine in other rooms, so I actually wonder if the bathroom faucets in those particular rooms, have something to do with it. I do know that nasty corrosion has been known to cause enough build up to slow water pressure down. Either way it goes, our hotel does need new faucets.

I wonder if they have a specific company they go through or if they can leave their options open for businesses like faucet.com. The great thing about Faucet.com is, there is no sales tax outside of the state of New York. Which makes it perfect for us small town folk in the good old state of Kansas. They also have free shipping for orders over $99 which lets us save even more. Hmm... I wonder if the owner of our hotel, would be interested.

It's Just Coupons

I love a good coupon or two. Coupons let me save money for more important things like my kids and my husband..hehe

WebbyPlanet.com is another website that offers a nice selection of coupons, deals and more. I love their web design layout. It's simple yet, eye-pleasing. With webbyplanet, you can search for coupons by store, alphabetical or by category. You can also find stores by free shipping and by rebates. I love free shipping and I try not to shop online without it.

While webbplanet.com is another coupon site, I love that their a lot more organized than other coupon sites.... So, it's definitely worth the visit.

A New Kitchen Faucet

I have a major love for remodeling/redecorating homes. Nothing professional... Just my own. Eventually I want to update the kitchen and since the kitchen faucet has a slight leak when it's turned on..... I think that's a great place to start.

I love the look of nickel plate and since faucet.com has Delta faucets that have the look of nickel plating, I'm definitely interested. The best part is they have free shipping on orders of $99 or more. Who doesn't love free shipping!

I also noticed you can sign up for their newsletter and receive a $10 instant coupon towards your purchase. Even more savings. How cool is that?

If you're looking for a new faucet, you should definitely check them out. And if you have any fun or great ideas for the home, please feel free to share.

Pottery Barn and Saving Big With CouponChief.com

A few days ago I received Pottery Barn Catalog in the mail. Well, since then, I've discovered that it's my favorite place to shop! I love their style and ideas for furnishings and home decor. I couldn't believe that I was able to find furnishings and decor for every room in our home! What I love about Pottery Barn is their beautiful crafted wood furniture. I found a farmhouse Bedroom suite that I am absolutely in love with. I also found several light fixtures that would be great for the kitchen and a toilet paper roll/magazine rack for the bathroom. Most of their style has an old farmhouse theme, but somehow they manage to mix it and make it modern and suitable for just about any room in the house. Their also big on the beach house theme, which I love the most!

I also discovered that CouponChief.com has coupon deals for Pottery Barn. Very Nice! I can find FREE SHIPPING and SALE ITEMS. Can't beat that!
