Profiting From Flipping

As odd as it may seem, I actually love remodeling. In fact, I've considered buying homes at cheap prices and flipping them for a profit. But when you have so many great products for the home to choose from like for example, Kohler kitchen sinks, it's hard not to want to spend a lot of money, which of course can create a loss for profit if you're not careful.

So I think the really nice products should be saved for my own home for now. And of course right now, I can't even consider doing anything of that, but who knows... maybe someday!

Out of curiosity, do you have any hobbies that you have considered turning into a business or have already turned into one?

Working on the Kitchen

One of the things I have been doing lately is remodeling the kitchen. Just repainting a shelf right now. The reason for this is because the house is slowly fall a part and it needs new things like kitchen faucets, etc. Right now the kitchen sink faucet only leaks when you turn it on, which means it probably just needs a new seal, but eventually I'd like to change out the faucet into something a little nicer.

The husband has already said he doesn't want to spend a lot of money remodeling this house and then talked about get windows that cost $3000 each.lol But I don't plan on spending thousands of dollars on one simple thing. I think that's a bit too much and would never sale in this neighborhood.

However, I don't see any harm in spending reasonable to make improvements on the home. And right now I don't think we'll be selling this house anyway since we don't have any plans to move. But in the future, who knows!

Work and Bathroom Faucets

One of our complaint's today at work was about the water pressure not at full speed through our bathroom faucets. It's not the first time someone has complained, but I certainly hope it will be our last.

Interestingly enough, the water pressure is fine in other rooms, so I actually wonder if the bathroom faucets in those particular rooms, have something to do with it. I do know that nasty corrosion has been known to cause enough build up to slow water pressure down. Either way it goes, our hotel does need new faucets.

I wonder if they have a specific company they go through or if they can leave their options open for businesses like faucet.com. The great thing about Faucet.com is, there is no sales tax outside of the state of New York. Which makes it perfect for us small town folk in the good old state of Kansas. They also have free shipping for orders over $99 which lets us save even more. Hmm... I wonder if the owner of our hotel, would be interested.

Shower Updates

Eventually our bathroom is going to need a new shower head. Faucet.com has a decent selection of shower faucets, many of which are under $100. To make the deal even sweeter, you can sign up for their newsletter and get $10 off your purchase. How cool is that?

While they have a nice variety of finishes, I love the nickel look, so the fact that they have over 100 nickel and pewter finishes available is awesome. I'm like a kid in a candy store. I also noticed that they have a sales area on their website. While it doesn't look like they have any shower faucets on sale, they do have many other remodeling fixtures for the bathroom and kitchen there.

Shipping and handling looks fairly reasonable. Any orders under $99 is only $7.95. They do not specify however, shipping and handling for orders over $99. They do have customer service, although I am not sure what time zone their hours are for since it really doesn't say.

If you're updating your home as we are, they're worth a visit.

A New Kitchen Faucet

I have a major love for remodeling/redecorating homes. Nothing professional... Just my own. Eventually I want to update the kitchen and since the kitchen faucet has a slight leak when it's turned on..... I think that's a great place to start.

I love the look of nickel plate and since faucet.com has Delta faucets that have the look of nickel plating, I'm definitely interested. The best part is they have free shipping on orders of $99 or more. Who doesn't love free shipping!

I also noticed you can sign up for their newsletter and receive a $10 instant coupon towards your purchase. Even more savings. How cool is that?

If you're looking for a new faucet, you should definitely check them out. And if you have any fun or great ideas for the home, please feel free to share.

My Dream Bathroom

Okay, since I just learned that my husband will be a little late coming home from work, I thought I would browse at the selection of Delta Faucets that Faucet.com has to offer.

Delta faucet has a wide variety of very beautiful faucets for both the kitchen and the bath. Whenever I remodel my dream home I will probably be looking for a delta faucet! I love the chrome faucet they have here. It is absolutely gorgeous in my opinion and would look great in the bathroom or a bar!

It may actually be sooner than I think since we're in need of a new bathroom faucet. The only thing I am not so sure on is the white handles, but maybe that can be changed? Yep, other handle options are available it says! Whoo Hoo!

I also found that they have free shipping in handling. How cool is that? I love free shipping and handling since we can go out of town with my husband's truck and this town has a limited selection of home remodeling products.

By the way, I would love to hear everyone's ideas for bathroom remodeling. We have two bathrooms. One is for the kids and the other is a master bath. The master bath currently only has a shower. No bathtub. The kids bathroom has a bathtub/shower head. it's the old claw foot bathtub that I absolutely love. No, we can't switch bathrooms.lol
