The Game of Golf

I'm not much of a golfing fan, but my husband sure is, so when someone mentions a golf navigator, I'm sure he'll know exactly what it is. Me on the other hand, I have no clue.lol

To me, the game of golf is boring. Heck, I can barely handle putt putt without falling asleep. I'm an action adventure girl. However, most guys I know seem to love the sport of golf, and that's okay. Me, I'd rather see a good fight match than watch a a man hold a stick in his hands and bat at a little ball. Ha ha.

Golf and a Vacation in Florida

My husband is a big golf fanatic. Unfortunately since he's changed shifts with work, he rarely has time to do much of anything except sleep.

In the past we had talked about taking a family vacation to Orlando, FL. At first, we considered a cruise ship adventure. However, with the rise of prices everywhere, it seems that it would be so much cheaper to just drive there and plan a trip cheaper without the big boat.

One of the things that Orlando, Florida has to offer is Orlando golf. Of course that is right up my husband's alley! The best part is we can stay there at less than $300 per a person for 4 nights. That's not bad at all!

Even thought an immediate vacation is out of the question, I think I will sign up for one of their free brochures. What do you think? Have you taken a vacation based on golf? What about a vacation in Florida? Was it well worth it?

A Vacation Closer to Home

When we can afford to do so, I'd like to take some other vacations when time permits. I've noticed there are a lot more places that are closer to home that we can vacation to like, Thousand Hills in Branson Missouri.

It's already easy to see that my husband will love it, simply because they have log cabins and are a golfing resort. I'm not fond of either, but I'm familiar with Branson and do know they have some great places to visit and shop at.

Their prices aren't bad either. For a 1 bedroom/1 bath it's $139-189 a night, depending on the season. Their cabins aren't without extras either. They include: swimming pool, jacuzzi, cable, high speed internet, washer/dryer and more.

Need a cabin with more room? Thousand Hills offers larger cabins to accommodate family needs. Not a fan of cabins? Thousand Hills also offers condos for vacationers who prefer something with a little less woods to it.

Anyway we look at it, there's always something enjoyable for everyone in Branson, Missouri and Thousand Hills just allows us to enjoy it that much more.
