An Update On My Goal

I haven't had much time to really update my blog or do any work online, due to a tragic death in the family and my birthday being yesterday. Unfortunately this put me behind, so I may be working a lot of hours in the near future unless I get some outstanding paying jobs.

Here is an update on what I have been making. Obviously my goal has not been made for the credit card payment this month and I won't be making an extra payment towards it. I will have to try again for next month.

An Update on My Goal

I am a bit behind on updating my goal. I actually have about 3 days worth of online work. I worked for an hour on the weekends just to catch up for last Thursday. I am no longer in need of help with my kids. I want to thank everyone who contributed with helping my kids. As of now I am working towards two goals. One is to pay off two credit cards and the other is to save for a car. I'm not even sure which one to start with first. I'll need a car since I am headed back to Oklahoma in September/October for a court date for my kids.

But the credit card I used for emergencies is still claiming an over the limit fee. This means I will have to make a $125 payment this month instead of the usual $40. I had used the card to put the car rental on because they wanted to hold way too much money back from our checking account. This was still an enterprise thing from when I picked up my son. What enterprise did not bother to tell me is that they hold the same amount on my credit card and didn't return it in time, so the credit card charged an over the limit fee. So, after I pay the card's balance back up, I am officially closing that account. I can live without the credit card. Emergency or not.

Music For the Fans

For fans, sometimes it's hard to find every new and happening band that's trying to break into the music world ....and for bands just starting out, it's even harder to keep in contact with fans from all over the world.

I remember in high school how we used to pass along flyers of new and upcoming bands by way of pen pals to promote bands. Times have changed however and postage is no longer reasonable. It's also so much easier to get in touch with both fans and bands through the internet.

And... IndieMV - Musical Intercourse has made it even better by offering music lovers every where a way to keep in touch through video, chat and profile. So whether you are a fan of music or a band looking for fans, IndieMV can make it possible.

This is a great way to offer unsigned bands some exposure and get them noticed! It is also a great way for fans to view new music and get in touch with other fans who love music just as much.

I Want One!

I actually miss having a digital camera. They were so much fun and I could just shoot photos and upload very quickly without having to worry about the hassle of having anything developed. Plus I could see the photos right away.

I am hoping to get another digital camera soon, like maybe for Christmas. Wishful thinking on my part I'm guessing since my other half isn't really into gift giving. I guess if worse comes to worse I can just buy the camera myself. I found that ritzcamera.com has a really nice selection of digital cameras.

You can even get digital picture frames from them if you like. You can also use their bill me later purchase if your order is more than $500. Pretty cool I think... Especially since Christmas is right around the corner.

I really don't need anything fancy, however. I think a simple digital camera is all I need. One that will take crisp clear photos from up close or a distance..with the ability to see the photo immediately.

If you're wishing for a digital camera like I am for Christmas or whatever the occasion... Send your better half, friend or family member this way and have them check out ritzcamera.com for a nice selection of digital cameras.

Halloween By Rob Zombie!

Okay, I already know this movie is going to be great! Halloween the movie - and directed by none other than Rob Zombie! If you have no idea who Rob Zombie is, maybe you remember “House of 1000 Corpses” and “The Devil's Rejects,” both movies by Rob Zombie, of course! If you haven’t seen either of those, run to your nearest video store and rent them tonight!

While “House of 1000 Corpses” was a good movie, I think “The Devil’s Rejects” was by far his best work. Now of course I could be wrong, especially when the release of his movie, Halloween the movie hit’s theaters August 31st!

I am actually really excited about this. I absolutely love horror movies and I have always loved the Halloween movies. I am hoping Rob Zombie will take this classic to a whole new level. It’s already obvious that this movie involves Michael Myer’s past. Just from the previews this movie already looks exciting! I am really looking forward to seeing what Rob Zombie has done for “Halloween The Movie.”

I’m actually surprised however, that they did not wait to release this until October 31st. I think this would have been the perfect time for this movie! Not to worry though, I’ll be there August 31st! Hope to see you there too!
