A lot of my story ideas come from dreams that I have. Many of them aren't worth putting onto paper, but I write them down anyway. Not every dream is a nightmare, but there's always something weird going on. Like for instance this dream I had written down:
There is a man standing in front of a homeless tent holding a woman who looks torn up and really drunk. She's passed out. He stares at the tent as the woman slowly wakes up confused as to where she is. Inside the tent is what sounds like a couple having sex. The woman is laughing, having fun. The drunk woman looks slowly at the tent her eyes in terror and then she looks at the man who looks only at her for a second, not expression on his face and then turns his attention back to the tent. The laughter from the woman suddenly stops and she begins to scream and struggle in the tent.
Another dream I had:
There is an all you can eat buffet which runs out of specific food, two guys must get more. One of them is the owner who is friends with a person from the group that came in. A girl from the group talks to him about credit card orders and just holding the card until they are done. The owner says he doesn't like changing things. The problem is the owner had said before is there is a guy that comes in just before closing and eats everything offered on the buffet. He then wants more,
but he always pays in cash and never has enough money. The owner always tells him he cannot come in if he doesn't have a credit card.
Weird huh? Those are just a few dreams I've had and written down. What do you think?

Dreams and Migraines
Apparently last night's stressful events (I won't go into details) is causing a severe migraine headache today. I've found that the only thing that works for my headaches is Excedrin for migraine, but I don't like taking any medications unless I necessarily have to. I am wondering if there are some alternatives to take medications for a migraine headache. If I have some time today, I may do some research on Migraines. If anyone else who has experienced migraines and found some great alternatives to them... I'd love to hear about it!
Also, I had a weird dream last night. It involved my husband's dad
and wanting someone (I thought it was my husband, but now I am not so sure)to join the merchant marines. I wouldn't even know anything about the merchant marines except I was watching a movie called, "The Cutting Edge" last night that mentioned them in it. My father-in-law was insistent that the someone join the merchant marines because the job I had just wasn't enough. I was insistent that he not go because I would not see him for almost a year and military changes a man for the worse. He becomes angry and violent. I had pointed out that our best friend was married to a marine and he became physically violent. They also never saw one another.
Then another part of my dream involved water and a beach/park and a snake that was
poisonous. I was telling my husband about the snake that I knew was poisonous and tried to strike me. My husband argued that his ex-wife said the snake was not poisonous or the type of snake I had mentioned that it was. A complete stranger ended up getting struck by that snake instead of me(I'm think she intervened with me and the snake) , who we later became friends with. The park compensated her with about $7000 in money and free passes to the park/beach.

I Am Not a Writer!
Today I was told I am not a writer. I am not published in a magazine, I have no readers, so therefore I am not a writer. Isn't it lovely when you're insulted in such a way! And to think, I offered them a review which they considered pointless because of course.. In their eyes I am not a writer. Well, to them I say, a review is not necessary... now and in the future, when everyone knows my name....since of course, I am not a writer. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
For those who have experienced the loveliness of negative people like those above, don't let it get you down. It's their loss, not yours. Author, Stephen King once lived in an trailer. His walls were covered in rejection slips. Another author once submitted a very famous novel of his under another name, to the same publisher who published it before. They rejected it.
Laugh in the eyes of idiocy. Live for the moment and never let go of your dreams.
