So the contest looks really cool. But, I'll be honest I haven't checked out the videos because a very nasty storm with tornadoes is headed our way. If you get a chance to see the videos I would love to hear what you guys think! I'm a fan of lasik surgery and I know it works because my ex-in-laws had it done. I think they spent around $500 or so per an eye, which when you think about it really isn't bad at all.

However, that's been several years back, so I'm sure the prices have increased somewhat since then. Now would I have it done myself? Yes, if I needed it. I went to have my eyes checked several years ago and I was told my vision was excellent. In fact, the eye doctor told me that when everyone else is in bi-focals I'll have nearly perfect vision. How insane is that?

And my grade school teacher said I needed glasses. HA! I guess loving carrots really did pay off! So if you want more information, feel free to check out the link below. In the mean time, I'm off to check out the tornadoes that are suppose to head our way!

Eyes

Today was just one of those crazy days. First we had an appointment for hubby's son for the eye doctor. As it turns out, he will need glasses because he is far sided. So, we've ordered a pair of frames that should look be here within the week. But, the interesting thing was the fact that his daughter's glasses could possibly be incorrect.

Originally we thought maybe wal-mart was at fault since this was where her glasses were ordered, but as it turns out, they're not. We were also told her eyesight will not get any better, sadly. The reason for the glasses is to prevent her eyesight from getting worse.

I was actually surprised because the hubby actually made an appointment for himself for next month, which will be interesting since he has to have is eyes dilated and won't be able to drive.

More On Eye Care

The Eye Digest would once again like readers to know how important eye care is. If you remember my last post about Eye Digest, then you'll remember that I mentioned Lasik Surgery. It's not something I've had done myself, but only because I was examined and told I didn't need it. I do however recommend Lasik Surgery and I believe The Eye Digest is a great place to learn more about LASIK.

What is Lasik Surgery? Lasik is a refractive surgery procedure that reshapes the cornea, resulting in better to perfect vision.

If you wear glasses and are looking for a way to get rid of those glasses without having to wear contacts, then Lasik Eye Surgery may be the right choice for you. Even if you don't have to wear glasses, Lasik Surgery may be an option if your eyesight needs correction.

Before you decided however, there are some pros and Cons to Lasik Surgery.

Depending on your before eyesight, Lasik Surgery could allow you to achieve 20/20 vision or even 20/40 vision. However, there is also no guarantee that you will achieve perfect vision.

In rare cases, the Lasik procedure could result in loss of vision, double vision, loss of nighttime vision and severe dry eye syndrome.

Also keep in mind that the cost can be very expensive. Depending on the surgeon's qualifications, the cost can be around $1000 or more per an eye. Please do not think that a really cheap discount for this surgery can be a great alternative. While this may not always be the case, so-called surgeons offering an extreme price reduction in this type of surgery are often not qualified to perform the procedure. This can be very dangerous for both you and your eyes! Do Your Homework, first!

If you're still interested in Lasik Eye Surgery, great! Check out The Eye Digest to find out more information about LASIK.

There you will find some very informative information on the subject as well as, videos, and what you should expect before, during and after the procedure.

Be informed, be knowledged, learn everything about Lasik Surgery with The Eye Digest.

Would I get Lasik Surgery if I did ever need it, or recommend it to a friend? Absolutely! As long as you are informed and know what's involved, then why not? Seeing is a beautiful thing!
