Today was just one of those crazy days. First we had an appointment for hubby's son for the eye doctor. As it turns out, he will need glasses because he is far sided. So, we've ordered a pair of frames that should look be here within the week. But, the interesting thing was the fact that his daughter's glasses could possibly be incorrect.
Originally we thought maybe wal-mart was at fault since this was where her glasses were ordered, but as it turns out, they're not. We were also told her eyesight will not get any better, sadly. The reason for the glasses is to prevent her eyesight from getting worse.
I was actually surprised because the hubby actually made an appointment for himself for next month, which will be interesting since he has to have is eyes dilated and won't be able to drive.

A Warning about Special Sale Ads
Well, as it turns out the special was only on select frames which no parent in their right mind would put a kid in. And since the shop wasn't sure if they could take my husband's insurance or not, we ended up paying nearly $100 for a pair of glasses, out of pocket.
Then I keep think about other options for eyeglasses. I remember doing a post a while back for ZenniOptical.com. I loved their prices. You could purchase a pair of eyewear for an insane $8. Heck, just recently they were on fox news and US talk radio. So people are really starting to take notice of their fabulously insane prices! I mean, who wouldn't??
So now I am wondering if my husband would be interesting in purchasing her glasses or his there. I mean if we’re not able to use our insurance for eyeglasses, then we might as well find the lowest possible prices. Don’t you think?

Glasses on a Tight Budget
It's been a long time since my husband has had new glasses and I know he's due up for a pair very soon. I wonder what sort of frames he will get next? With finances the way they are at the moment, looking for the best reasonable frames is a must. Places like zennioptical.com have some really nice frame selections and they don't charge an arm and a leg for them either. Kinda nice since the budget is very tight. The good news is, my husband has a good eyewear prescription plan at work, so that will definitely help keep our finances in check. The only downside is, they only pay up to so much.
