I'm Not a Big Gaming Fan, But

First off, This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of PlayStation MOVE. All opinions are 100% mine.

Now, let's get to the exciting part where I talk about something I actually have an interest in!

Okay, let's get one thing straight. I am not a huge fan of video games. I believe there is more to life than just sitting in front of the television, wasting your life away almost the entire day by playing video games. However, I'm certainly not against a video gaming system like the PlayStation®Move that lets you use gaming as a way to physically get fit! As a matter of fact, I would love to have one!

Am I for real? Yes, actually I am. A few days ago I was browsing the gaming section with my spouse because he's a big gaming fan, when he pointed out the PlaystationMove. I've always wanted a way to workout without spending big bucks and the hassle of driving to and from a place just to exercise and Playstation has done it! I love the idea of playing tennis or boxing while using exercise motions to get my body to moving. And I also think it's a great way for the kids to get to moving too, instead of just sitting and watching television or playing video games.

Unfortunatly, there wasn't much of really a selection of games for this system at our local store, so I went to Playstation's website instead and took a peak at what games they have to offer.

To be honest, there's only one fitness game that they have, but I'd certainly give it a try and that's Get Fit with Mel B, which may be a good way to strengthen my back. However, they do have several pages of sports, including Racquet Sports, which looks like a lot of fun.

So, what do you think? do you think it'd be worth the purchase?

Coca Cola Getting Teens to the Olympics

It’s interesting that a product like coca-cola is willing to offer a torch to someone for the relay spot in the 2010 Canada Olympics. The reason I say it is interesting is because that someone has to be a youth who must be a part of the Halifax Organization.

Now here’s the real kicker. The Halifax Organization’s whole goal is to get teens physically fit. Soda and fitness is not a great combination. Soda is nothing but sugar, which in the end can cause health problems, even the diet kind. So I’m wondering why such an offer?

I guess I can understand that a major soda company would want to be a proud sponsor of the Olympics, but have they found a way to make their drink all natural and healthy? If they did I’m sure consumers would be the first to know, of course!

But, it’s at least nice to know that aside from the negativity of colas, maybe coca-cola is ready to step up to the platter and stop the obesity caused by sugar and other unnatural ingredients. What do you think? I like the idea that teenagers have something fun to look forward to while making it a goal to get fit and healthy!

Fitness Goals and My Back.

One of the goals I have in my life is to get into shape again. For about two years now my back has been giving me serious problems. Any time I bend over for any amount of time, even to do laundry, my back is in serious pain when I try to straighten up. As a matter of fact at times it's hard for me to straighten back out. Not good.

My back isn't the only area I want to strengthen. I noticed last Friday that even walking has me out of breathe. While I am not overweight and in need of dieting aids, I think I could use a change in my diet as well.

I guess for some, dieting aids like pills can help, but I'm not one that likes to use pills to help me in my goals. I believe that losing weight and getting into shape naturally is the best way for your body to be healthy.

Not everyone will agree with me however, and for those that don't, doing your homework on the pros and cons of various diet pills is a must. There are too many risks out there associated with certain pills and your life isn't worth the risk of not knowing.

You need to know what the claims are behind the so-called best diet pills and whether or not they are really worth it. Do your research and be safe, please.

If a diet pill works for you and it's safe, then that's great. But, for me, I'd rather not take that risk. I'd rather get into shape naturally. What about you? Do you workout? What do you think of diet pills and other weight loss aids?
