We're Out Of Coffee

This morning I reminded my husband that we were out of coffee as he headed out the door to take the kiddos to school this morning. He hasn't been back since.lol Which means he's stopped at his dad's house for coffee this morning. I guess he can't deal with it like I can. I made tea this morning, which is fine with me. Still, I know my husband well enough to know he'll be at his dad's house for the rest of the day.

Unfortunatly that also means he's not getting anything done around the house today. But, at least I can get some work done!!!

My Husband and the Electronics Department

Yesterday while my husband and I were out doing our usual weekly grocery shopping, he spotted a rack of compact flash cards in the electronics department and thought they were great because they were so small. You would think the bigger the better would be much more interesting! LOL

Then, he wanted to know more about them, and after I explained we don't have a camera for those, he said he wasn't all that interested in the flash card! Men! I guess some electronics fascinate them to a point, but when it comes to buying something so high tech, they're running the other direction! LOL

I Left My Husband Last Night

Last night I had the weirdest dream. I was visiting a friend of mine who has since then moved on to bigger and better jobs with her own husband. Well, in that dream she was moving and at a friends house getting the rest of her things. That friend happened to be Joe Montana's brother. He had two kids. A girl and a boy. He also had a lot of money and a lot of stuff in his house. Too much stuff. It reminded me of my mother's house.lol

So while I am there visiting, Joe Montana's brother seems to be really into me. He kept showing off his clothing and told me time I ever wanted to buy anything his credit line was always open to me. Then there was that damn fur coat that he kept trying to give me.lol Even my friend pointed out that Joe Montana's brother was really into me.lol. And all I kept thinking was no way! I am engaged to be married. So apparently while my husband was in the dream, I wasn't yet married to him. That's as much of the dream that I can remember.

Okay, so I get that the dream might be about finances, but why Joe Montana? First of all I hate football. Joe Montana is not someone I really even know about and I haven't even heard his name in years. Plus as far as I know, he doesn't have a brother. So what gives? lol

Today is the Day!

Today is the day that the husband officially goes to night shift. Not sure how it's going to go, but we'll see. Husband is suppose to call me on his lunch break tonight, but we'll see on that too.lol it's going to be weird not having him around at night. I won't be able to sleep, so I'm setting my work schedule up to be nights just like his. He'll work from 4pm to 230am and so will I.

Meanwhile in the wonderful world of news, another possible job opportunity came up with the same company we were wanting to work for in California. This job opportunity is in Wyoming. $17.50 an hour plus food expenses per a day. Pretty good, especially if we're both doing it. Turns out to be about $1000 a week for each of us. That's way more than what we are making now. Our only problem is saving money to move there on and for a vehicle that will make it there. The job opportunity starts in the middle of August.

My Dearest Hubby

Thank you so much for keeping me up last night. 6 hours of asleep is not good when you are starting another job. On top of that, I had to hurry through my breakfast this morning because you were complaining, so I dump most of my breakfast in the trash. I managed a migraine throughout the day because of it. Almost barfed this morning from lack of food and then to top it all of, you never called me during lunch break.

Sooo, I ended up walking 3.3 miles home from work and I still have that damned migraine. Ohh and that cats ate the kids' easter candy and I ended up cleaning up cat puke from the floor. Sooo all in alll. Smile baby, because my day was PEACHY KEEN.

To Shave or Not to Shave

Every once in a while the husband gets on his kicks of shaving and then not shaving. When he doesn't shave, he looks like a mountain man, and I love it. When he shaves, he's nearly unrecognizable. Well lately his beard has gotten a bit scraggly and while I love the mountain man look, the scraggliness is kinda getting to me.

So tonight he's shaving it all off. That's right baby! Take it ALL OFF!!!!!! Yet as exciting as that may seem, I'll miss his mountain man look.

Christmas Shopping

Finally got all of the kids Christmas shopping done. I was also late sending out Christmas cards, but at least that's finally done! I still need to finish up the Christmas shopping for the husband, however. I already purchased some things for him that I know he's going to love.hehe Still, I want to get a few more things for him.

Yesterday he told me I didn't have to buy him anything else. I didn't think he quite understood what I've been through in the past when it came to Christmas. But as it turns out, he said, he knew after I explained why I was shopping for more stuff. I'm not a big spender, so the purchases are still small, but I know he's going to love what I got him and what I am getting him..hehe

I'm finishing the rest of my Christmas shopping today since my best friend is coming by to go with me. I figure we'll make it a girls day out sort of thing.

Still Cooking!

I thought I would be done by now, but I am still cooking. Just waiting on the beans to finish cooking and the cornbread to bake.

I am willing to bet that tomorrow will be another long day. Lately I've been going to bed no later than 9pm. A big change since I used to be a night owl. When 445am comes it's like I've been awake all night long. I've been working at my new job for over a month now, so you'd think that I'd be used to the schedule by now.

I honestly think that it's my husband's alarm clock that's the problem. He has to be up by 6am and while he doesn't get up and out of bed until 510am, his alarm starts going off at 330am.

Generally he sleeps through it. I on the other hand am a light sleeper, so I'm wide awake and nudging him to hit the snooze button for the next 1 1/2 hours...every 10 minutes. So yeah, I believe it is that damn alarm clock!

I have talked to my husband about setting it at a later time and he did for about a week, but now we're back to 330am. Something has to give!

Wow, how times flies when you're bitching and complaining online! lol Time to check on dinner.

This and That

I'm at a wits end on what to do about a personal problem I'm having to deal with right now. I'm not able to take the time off from work to contact anyone and they won't contact me back. Time is running out I fear.

The second job takes up 99% of my free time and the other 1% of my free time is spent with my other job. The money is helpful, but the hours are tiring. I'm getting ready to work even more hours due to a shift change.

Okay. Shouldn't your spouse let you know if he's going to be home late? I mean shouldn't it be a courtesy thing? I am really worried about my husband right now. He got off at 430pm from work and it's now 6pm, and he still hasn't made it home. I tried calling his cell phone, but he's not answering it. I thought maybe he was still at work. He stayed over yesterday to help a guy at work for a little longer. I wouldn't think he would do that twice in a row or especially since he has to get up even earlier for work tomorrow? I guess I'll start panicking if he doesn't show up by 7pm.

Valentines Day Maybe Months Away, But...

It doesn't mean you need to experience romance only on that holiday. I understand that with the busy demand of our lives and jobs, it's hard to try to be romantic 24/7, but it irks me that some spouses have forgotten what romance can mean for their significant other. How it can brighten their day and put a smile on their face. Believe me, one little romantic thing can be bragged about and remembered forever.

If you're a spouse or partner who believes and romance and tries to give a little something to the one you love each and every day, then bravo! Even if you can only find the time once a week, bravo to you as well.

For those of us who'd like to bring more romance in our relationship, but have no idea where to start, romanceforeveryone.com has some wonderful romantic ideas that you can try.

Even if you're not perfect at romance, it doesn't mean you can't show your lover how you feel about them. My favorite is the Holding Hands in a Restaurant idea. You don't know how much it would mean to me and how much I would cherish the idea and action of my husband initiating wanting to hold my hand in a restaurant or anywhere in public.

I also love the idea of reading a love letter. It's a way of hearing how your lover feels directly from the heart. Am I dreaming? Probably so. I could point out these things to my husband and I don't think it would still happen.

If you're like that, please don't be. You have no idea what it feels like to not be cherished more often by the one you love. Please cherish them. You never know how much longer they may be around.

If you're stuck for ideas on how to begin writing a love letter to your partner, romanceforeveryone.com offers free love letters
to help get you started.

It doesn't take big bucks to be romantic to your spouse. So where's your excuse? No matter who you are. Girl or guy, there's no reason you can't be romantic to the love of your life! Put a smile on his or her face! Please! It could be the best thing you have ever done in your life! And it will be cherished forever.

The Cell Phone Crisis Part 2

So apparently after a few days of thinking he was without a cell phone, my husband's cell phone begins working again. Unfortunately, it still has problems. Like, he can't open it all the way to talk on it and the LCD screen is blank. After explaining to his mom that he broke his cell phone, she offered to buy him a new one within reason.

Well, yesterday he visited our local cell phone store and began picking out cell phones that were $200 or more. His favorite. A $359 Razor phone. Something his mom told him she was not willing to buy. So, after calling his mom and telling her about the phones he was interested in... She was not impressed. Of course, I don't blame her. I'm not sure why my husband expects his mom to buy a nearly $400 cell phone for him when he knows she can't afford it.

To piss him off.lol She told him she could buy his brother a new cell phone and give him his brother's old phone. My husband of course was not willing to go that route, so he backed off of wanting an expensive phone and now he's looking at free ones. Heck she already pays his cell phone bill. What more could he want???

Cell Phone Crisis and My Freaked Out Hubby

So my husband apparently dropped his cell phone at work and now the screen has gone blank and there's no sound. So it's totally broke and he's freaking out big time. He doesn't have a back up of all of his numbers. Of course, I do.. His numbers included.. except for old friends. So it's not a real big deal, but he's freaking out. We did test it. It lit up when I called him, but he can't hear me, but I can hear him. How weird, but then again I had that problem with my old one. Anyway, he's still freaking.lol

And here I thought I freaked out easily. LOL

Me, Myself and I... And a Gun

Yesterday was interesting. My other half is an avid hunter, so when he gets a chance he heads to the shooting range for practice. So, after learning Saturday night that he was heading to the shooting range again, I volunteered myself to go with him since I had never been before. Yes, I actually said I volunteered myself.lol

So when we finally got to the shooting range, I watched him shoot off his semi-automatic and then he decided to show me how to shoot it. At first, he went with just a single bullet. Then 2 hours later I was shooting an entire clip.

It was definitely an experience and I would go again. The only thing that irks me is he wants to choose the gun that I buy. I really have a problem with this and told him so because if I choose to own a gun, I want one that I would enjoy. One that I will handle and shoot. I still don't think he really understands that.. or maybe he does and just doesn't care.lol

Anyway, that was pretty much my day. I tried to call my kids yesterday evening. My ex did pickup the phone, but he said the kids weren't there. They were playing at a friend's house. So I asked him what time they go to bed and he said, 730pm. So I told him I'd call back before their bedtime. I called back and it went directly to the answering machine. I have not been able to talk to my kids for almost a month now! Sigh

Snakin', Bitchin' and Moanin'

An interesting thing happened today. My hubby's snake (a ball python) escaped from his cage. After searching the entire house for him, my hubby started looking in small hiding places. One of which we discovered was by the fireplace. Fortunately, the snake wasn't there..however, some D&D dice of his were. So, after finding the dice, he decided to put them up the closet with the rest of the games.

The next thing I know, there's a scream coming from him followed by a, "I found the snake!" Apparently the snake had decided his new home would be the hallway closet and once he was found, he panicked and struck my hubby. It's a good thing that he's non-poisonous. So now the snake is back in it's original home, safe and sound.

On a more bitchy note: I will never understand why some men do what they do when it comes to relationships. Sigh. One of these days I'm going to fall over dead and because the hubby didn't listen to the warning signs prior or felt like just waiting... it will be too late. And then who's going to put up with much more than they should. Hmm??? A break would be nice once in a while. :) Keeping sane here... Just trying to keep sane.
