Still Sick
I'm not sure what it is. At one point I assumed it was chronic bronchitis. It's still a possibility since all this started with black mold and ended with me being around smokers. But it has gotten to the point that I cough so bad that I end up trying to throw up. I could check with a doctor if that were a possibility, but this is a small town and without insurance, it's not.
So I am stuck on what to do. I guess I'll just wait it out and hope hubby puts me on his insurance plan at work in October.

Sick
Speaking of work, they're now considering having him and everyone else in his department work 7 days a week. They've already done this with another department and the results were disastrous. Someone died because they fell asleep at the wheel from exhaustion from work and lack of sleep. I'm surprised the company isn't under investigation for this. I didn't think they could make employees work 7 days a week permanently.

There's a Bug Going Around
Yesterday I spent most of the day in bed with a body ache, cough and a fever. Today I'm up and about, but I still have the body ache. Unfortunately one of the downsides to being a freelance writer is the fact that you don't get paid sicks days, and because I took off for Labor Day weekend to spend time with my family, I can't afford not to work.
I am hoping to be able to get hubby to get me some medication from the store since I have yet to take anything for this stupid flu and be able to get better faster.

Sick Again
It also looks like my hubby caught whatever was going around. When I got home from work the entire house was dark and he was in bed trying to sleep. He said his stomach was bothering him. I did talk him into driving me to look at the van. It wasn't worth it, so I'm back to square one with looking for a vehicle.
As sad as it sounds, I do kinda wonder if the hubby is really that sick. What makes me wonder is he said he went from work to straight home because he wasn't feeling well. I believed him at first, but then when we came back home from looking at the vehicle, I noticed a paintball gun on the kitchen table. I asked him about it and he said it came from his brother and that he got it on his way home from work.
Soo obviously he wasn't sick enough not to be able to stop by his brother's house for a bit.lol Ohh well...
Time for dinner and then I am headed to bed.

I'm Mad Because You're Sick!
I guess I should rewind to Friday. After the hustle and bustle of the crowds and work, we decided to venture to Wal-mart so that I could buy a tree and some ornaments. Of course this got my step-daughter really excited and she wanted to know when we'd be putting up the Christmas tree. I told her Saturday after I got home from work.
Saturday rolled around and about mid-day at work my stomach would not stop cramping. I thought it was gas at first, but after not being able to down lunch, I knew something was up. Of course the hubby had already taken the entire week off from work, so I wasn't sure that missing work no matter what, was an option. Plus, because we're in Christmas season, the company I work for doubles our points when we take time off from work and if you have 5 points, you're fired. Luckily I had no points prior.
After my third break, I told my boss I wasn't feeling good and called the hubby to come and get me. I ended up staying in bed the rest of the day/night with cramps and vomiting. We thought it was the same stomach virus the kids had had prior, but I have a sneaky feeling it was Mcdonalds since I never ran a fever and none of this started until after I ordered something from Mcdonalds. To make my suspicions even more reliable, about a week ago my husband and I stopped at Mcdonalds for dinner. Several hours later I was sick.
So to make a long story short, we did not put up the Christmas tree which of course upset my step-daughter. My husband tried to explain that I was sick and wasn't feeling good, but kids will be Kids.. hehe
We're putting up the Christmas tree today since I am peachy keen!!!!

Snakin', Bitchin' and Moanin'
An interesting thing happened today. My hubby's snake (a ball python) escaped from his cage. After searching the entire house for him, my hubby started looking in small hiding places. One of which we discovered was by the fireplace. Fortunately, the snake wasn't there..however, some D&D dice of his were. So, after finding the dice, he decided to put them up the closet with the rest of the games.
The next thing I know, there's a scream coming from him followed by a, "I found the snake!" Apparently the snake had decided his new home would be the hallway closet and once he was found, he panicked and struck my hubby. It's a good thing that he's non-poisonous. So now the snake is back in it's original home, safe and sound.
On a more bitchy note: I will never understand why some men do what they do when it comes to relationships. Sigh. One of these days I'm going to fall over dead and because the hubby didn't listen to the warning signs prior or felt like just waiting... it will be too late. And then who's going to put up with much more than they should. Hmm??? A break would be nice once in a while. :) Keeping sane here... Just trying to keep sane.

Uggghh
My stepson was sick all last week, so I am now wondering if I caught something from him. I also found out that there's a lot of kids out because of strep throat. My husband still hasn't put me on his insurance at work, so I am not sure what I am going to do if I get really sick. I guess I need to see if I can qualify for free or low-cost insurance around here.
I think I am going to take some vitamin C and lay down for a bit. I didn't get much sleep last night either. I was thinking I would get into bed earlier than I had the night before, but when I finally got a chance to look at the clock, it was already midnight! Boy how time flies when you're wrapped up in life..lol
