Why I Love My Job

One of the biggest reasons I love my job is the companies I get to learn about. It's rare for many of the little companies to get a fighting chance. And while I enjoy the money, often I receive products as payment for a review. A while back I received a beautiful selection of eyeshadows from Spell Cosmetics. They include: Gold Salmon, Mocha Dark, Silver, and Taupe. I also received the wet and set wand.

Usually I hardly ever wear cosmetics. The reason for this is because I'm not all that thrilled at putting chemicals on my face. Most makeup is harsh and my complexion has enough problems as it is. However, Spell Cosmetics are different since they are made with natural ingredients. When I wear them verses a chemically made makeup, I notice a big difference in my skin.

I also love that the eyeshadows are a powder and not a cake. In my opinion, powder is easier to blend and leaves less of a crease that a cake eyeshadow. And the wet and set wand is awesome because I can use it to create an eyeliner with my eyeshadow or just give my shadow color a wet look.

Spell also carries body and skincare products. I'm really considering ordering their body gloss or their sun and surf body mist. Plus I am looking at their lip colors. I can't wait to try another cosmetic of theirs! Thank You SPELL!!!!

When Making Up is Hard to Do

It's not often that I wear makeup, but when I do, I find that our small bathroom mirror just does not take the cake when it comes to an actual makeup mirror. makeup mirrors like the ones SeattleLuxe has to offer are great because you can take it almost anywhere with you. I love the fact that they are lighted and magnify since I do tend to tweeze my eyebrows on a weekly basis. Try tweezing your eyebrows with a small compact mirror and very little lighting. Yeah, umm. Well, you get the picture.

My favorite from Seattleluxe is their Pantograph Extension Mirrors. Very cool! While I do love what mirrors they have to offer, I think I'll leave this one to the rich and famous who can afford the splurge.

Is This Really a Guy's Worst Nightmare

If you think you're favorite female celebrity is a bombshell with all of that makeup, what will you think when she's all natural? Will you still think she is still just as beautiful? Or will you turn her down because she's just the average girl next door?

If you would still see her as the same, do you see the librarian with glasses or that shy lunch lady or bus driver, just as beautiful?

The next time you find yourself in the presence of a woman, remember that makeup is only an illusion of an already beautiful woman.

Care Fair

While I have a few extra moments, I thought I would give you a bit of background (sort of a review, I guess) on who I work for. I started working for Care Fair last August. My first experience with them was a bit hesitant because in the past I have found getting a long with most of my bosses as a negative experience. Nathalie however, is different. What really impressed me was the fact that I received an unexpected package in the mail from her last December. In it was a wonderful Christmas basket filled with yummy goodies and a thank you note from the Care Fair team. I was so touched that I sent her a thank you note. In return she was touched by my thank you note.lol Lately things have been a bit slow with my writing and while Nathalie could easily dismiss me as a writer, she hasn't and I am very thankful for that! She has been a wonderful boss and I truly enjoy working for her and the rest of the Care Fair team.

When you drop by their website, you'll notice it is beauty related. It's another reason I enjoy working there! I have always been fascinated with beauty and at one point considered a career in cosmetology. I love makeovers and I love seeing the wonderful expressions on the faces of those who are made over. The one unique thing about Care Fair is that there is a section included for Men! You'll also find product reviews and a dictionary based on cosmetics!
