My Review of New Chapter Perfect Calm and Perfect Energy Supplement, and a Giveaway!

A few weeks ago, I received a 5 day supply of Perfect Energy and and a 5 day supply of Perfect Calm courtesy of Best Price Nutrition, to review. This was a product review I couldn't wait to be a part of because my life has been nothing but stressful from one day to the next. However, to be fair, I had my husband review the Perfect Energy, while I reviewed the Perfect Calm. Here are our thoughts on the supplemental products.

My husband recently started a new job that required him to be awake early in the morning, something he hasn't had to do in years. Needless to say, the new hours made him very tired and he lacked the energy he needed to be productive at work. But, after a few days of taking the Perfect Energy, he said he was more alert and productive than he had been in years. However, after a few more days of taking the product supplement, my husband said his energy boost had warn off. Still, I noticed after his 5 day supply ran out, he was a lot more sluggish than he had been when he was taking the supplement.

When I started taking Perfect Calm, I didn't notice any immediate change. But, after about the 3rd day, I realized my stress level had gone down some and I was able to think more clearly. I found myself more relaxed in certain stressful situations. By day 5 I'd definitely noticed an improvement in how calm my mood had become. Now that I'm out of the Perfect Calm supplement, my stress level has gone up some again.

It's a sad day in this house with very little energy and a lot of stress, but all in all, my husband and I both have to agree, if given more time, Perfect Energy and Perfect Calm, could have the potential to help change the way your body reacts to life without all of the processed chemicals and yucky stuff you'll find in many vitamins and nutritional supplements.

And to help give you that opportunity, one lucky reader will get a full supply of Perfect Calm thanks to Best Price Nutrition, to help unwind life's stress, naturally. All you have to do is leave me a comment explaining why you want to win the Perfect Calm Product. I'll choose the winner based on the best answer given. So tell me about your life and don't forget to leave me an email address, so that I can contact you if you win!

Please Note: This contest ends October 5th at 10am CST. U.S Residence only please and you must be 18 or older to enter and win.

Let Them Laugh. Let Them All Laugh.

He hadn't wanted to kill them all. Not originally anyway, but that girl, she wouldn't stop laughing even after he'd tried to impress her after trying natural male enhancement. She just never stopped laughing. Now they all snickered and laughed at him and their lovers were no better. They loved them, never him. Why couldn't they love him? He wouldn't need to kill them if they just loved him. But now it was too late for that. Let them laugh. Let them all laugh. They would regret it.

Learn to Love Mother Nature

As I stated earlier, the best treatment for pimples is a natural acne treatment, and not one chalked full of chemicals. Those creams you're using on your face and the pills your swallowing to clear up that skin problem, are full of dangerous chemicals that over the years can destroy your skin and your body.

Okay, sure it might take years, but when that time comes, chances are you'll regret it! It's like bathing in the sun to get a nice golden sun tan, only to find out years later you have skin cancer because beauty was more important.

When it comes to the choices we make in our lives mother nature is usually best.

Home Beauty Remedies

I don't know about you, but I'm all for things like acne home remedies. I have always believed that anything that is natural is much better than products that are chalked full of chemicals which can harm our bodies both inside and out.

It took me years however, to learn just that. Sad, but true and even though it's taken me years, it's never to late to start living a healthier life both inside and out!

As I've Said

Even natural weight loss pills can become a problem if they're not really natural. If they're in pill form, chances are they contain a binding agent which holds the ingredients together. That binding agent is actually a chemical.

So if you're interested in herbs to take for weight loss, look at fresh herbs instead or if you absolutely must try the pill form, look for a capsule and break that capsule in half and only consume the herbs inside of it.

It's All Natural Baby

Last year I discovered that our hardware store carries Burts Bee's products. Yes, a hardware store! Because I am a big fan of all natural ingredients I decided to try their lip balm and ended up loving it.

Well, just recently I learned that a local drugstore of ours now carries an entire line of their products, including an all natural body lotion. While I haven't been able to purchase another product of theirs, I figure one of these days I will because I'm all for a beauty care line that isn't chocked full in chemicals.

It took me months of continuous research for one of the company's that I work for to learn how bad chemicals and artificial ingredients can be and how easily we absorb them every day in our foods and beauty routine. Actually, it's not just bad it's pretty darn scary. So I've paid closer attention to what I eat and what I wear thanks to that research. And while I understand it's not something everyone will want to do, I hope that in some small way my readers will at the very least take notice of all of the chemicals and artificial ingredients in their own lives and at the very most, cherish what mother nature has given us even more.

100% Natural?

For those who don't already know, I try to eat healthy. Sometimes that doesn't always happen because of specific temptations, but something is better than nothing when it comes to eating healthy.

Now as far as products like Stemulite, I really don't know. I'm not a big fan of taking powders that provide additional muscle gain with protein. However, this product seems different because it's 100% natural.

I like 100% natural because that means there are no nasty chemicals or additives to make us sick. I've learned so much from recent research on many of the processed foods and vitamins that we consume. It's just wonderful to learn that there is a product out there who's willing to keep their ingredients all natural while allowing us to lose weight and gain energy. I could definitely use some energy since mine has been lacking lately!

However, I'm not able to order this product because of lack of funds. In the future, maybe. The only thing I did notice about the product is that it's a tablet. Tablets are binded using a chemical. Also the product's website does say not to take their product if you use blood thinners or you're pregnant or nursing. Hmmmm

Spring Ready

Getting Your Feet Ready for Spring: a Crash Course in Natural Foot Care.

There’s still snow on the ground in many places, but the optimists among us are shopping for sandals already!

Are your feet showing the effects of a long, dreary winter, shoved into thick socks and shoes and largely forgotten? Chastise yourself for just one second, resolve to do better next year, then move on and get down to business!

First, gather your supplies.

You’ll need something to soak in, something to scrub with, something to moisturize with and something to seal moisture in. Many products we use to peel, scrub and moisturize use ingredients with dubious, synthetic origins. By using good quality, natural products, you can get the same results without the chemical exposure.

The essential items you’ll need are:

  • Epsom Salts or Sea salts to soak in. (Gilden Tree offers an excellent Revitalizing Spa Soak that also includes Shea Butter Balm for moisture.)
  • Olive Oil, or if you can get it, Jojoba Oil.
  • A terra cotta Footscrubber, to be used with liquid soap, shower gel or a scrub.
  • Nourishing Foot Cream - rich, concentrated cream helps soothe and heal dry skin.

If you have the budget, add:

  • Exfoliating Foot Scrub - a creamy scrub that uses fine pumice for exfoliation.
  • 95% Shea Butter Balm - a remarkable balm to use right over Nourishing Foot Cream on really dry spots like heels and balls of feet. Also good on nails & cuticles.
  • Hand, Nail & Cuticle Salve - a rich Shea Butter cream that penetrates deeply into nails and cuticles, helping them to be softer and healthier.

Crash Course Plan (Follow every day for at least five days)

1. Soak feet for 15 minutes in a footbath or basin filled with warm water, 2 Tbsp salts and 1 Tbsp olive oil.

2. Use a wet washcloth with a few drops of liquid soap or shower gel to gently cleanse all over feet. If you have Exfoliating Foot Scrub, add 1 tsp to the cloth.

3. Add a few drops of liquid soap to the Footscrubber and gently scrub the bottoms of feet. A tsp of Exfoliating Foot Scrub also works very well with the Footscrubber.

4. Place foot back in footbath and repeat for other foot.

5. Remove first foot, dry gently and massage in about 1 tsp of Nourishing Foot Cream. If you have Shea Butter, massage a tiny, pea-sized amount into very dry places like heels and nails. If you have Hand, Nail & Cuticle Salve, it can be used the same way.

You will be amazed at the difference in your feet after just five days. From then on, just repeat the process once or twice a week and continue to use your Footscrubber and Foot Cream daily.

So, pull out your sexiest sandals and get busy!

    Skippy Misleading Peanut Butter Lovers

A few weeks ago I found myself lured down the peanut butter isle at wal-mart. I wanted to buy a jar of natural peanut butter to cut out sugars in our household. Skippy Natural caught my eye, so I grabbed it without reading the label, because of course Skippy is a trusted brand. Or so I thought.

Tonight when I decided to open that jar of peanut butter for a snack I tasted sweetness and a lot of it! So I checked the back of the label and sugar was one of the main ingredients in that jar!

Now okay so some of you may be thinking, sugar is natural. Not when it's processed and sugar is processed. As a matter of fact, I've learned that sugar is actually a drug and more addictive that cocaine! It can cause numerous health problems and hyperactivity in children. So, it's considered a chemical.

So what I'm wondering is why the heck is Skippy claiming their peanut butter is natural, when it's obviously not???????? One thing is for certain, it's a sad world when a trusted brand lies to it's consumers. I wonder how many other trusted brands are doing the same thing.

    Why I Love My Job

One of the biggest reasons I love my job is the companies I get to learn about. It's rare for many of the little companies to get a fighting chance. And while I enjoy the money, often I receive products as payment for a review. A while back I received a beautiful selection of eyeshadows from Spell Cosmetics. They include: Gold Salmon, Mocha Dark, Silver, and Taupe. I also received the wet and set wand.

Usually I hardly ever wear cosmetics. The reason for this is because I'm not all that thrilled at putting chemicals on my face. Most makeup is harsh and my complexion has enough problems as it is. However, Spell Cosmetics are different since they are made with natural ingredients. When I wear them verses a chemically made makeup, I notice a big difference in my skin.

I also love that the eyeshadows are a powder and not a cake. In my opinion, powder is easier to blend and leaves less of a crease that a cake eyeshadow. And the wet and set wand is awesome because I can use it to create an eyeliner with my eyeshadow or just give my shadow color a wet look.

Spell also carries body and skincare products. I'm really considering ordering their body gloss or their sun and surf body mist. Plus I am looking at their lip colors. I can't wait to try another cosmetic of theirs! Thank You SPELL!!!!

    Natural or Not.

Despite how many times dermatologists remind people to take good care of their skin, they often don't. Yes, there are some of us out there who are dedicated to keeping our skin looking healthy and beautiful, but what about those who really don't have the time.

And teenagers? They might have the time, but acne is a big issue when you're a teenager and most products that claim they work, don't.

So for those who do make it a point to keep their skin looking healthy and beautiful, what about the product? Does it make good on it's promises or do you end up pitching it in the garbage, eventually? Do you care if it's good for your skin or not? Does it have to be all natural? What about a natural acne treatment?

Would you consider it if you thought it might work and is better for your skin? What's your opinion on natural skin care products?
