Gonna Have to Buy a Car....

One thing that I am in desperate need of is a car. I don't need a new one because to be honest, right now I can't afford a new vehicle. Besides, there's nothing wrong with a used vehicle like a used ford from the Buy Your Car website in the UK.
While I may not live in the UK, I am sure I am not alone in needing a car. Right now, I am able to get to and from work since my husband is able to drop me off and a friend is able to pick me up. However, that may very well change in the future and soon! I've already walked the three-mile journey home once, I really don't want to do that again! With gas prices on the rise, a car that is reasonable on gas is a must for me! Since summer is approaching, what I would love to do is buy a bike. Even a simple mo-pad would do.

The one great thing about Buy Your Car's website is, they offer both privately owned and dealership owned vehicles. You can look for a car by specific details such as, make, model, year and even color. How insane is that? The website also offers tips on what to look for when buying a car, what sort of questions to ask the seller and they even provide you with an 18 points buyer’s checklist.

I wonder if there is a US based website that can do all of that???

Home Improvements From The UK

I am always looking for fun and new ideas for improving the home, so I thought I would share with my United Kingdom readers, a little bit about Anglian Home improvements from the UK. Right now, Anglian has a beautiful selection of conservatories that can be a wonderful addition to almost any home. From angled roofs, to elegant clean lines, each conservatory can be matched to fit both old and new houses, beautifully. I am now wishing they were a US based company. I love their Victorian Conservatory! And they even have financing available! How cool is that!

Anglian also has a 10 year guarantee on their home improvements. I know our stores in my town don't offer that! If you're not sure that a conservatory is really what you're looking for, Anglian has other home improvement products as well. They offer everything from windows and doors to driveways and roofs.

If you live in the UK and are looking for new ideas for your next home improvement project, please stop by Anglian's Home improvements. They just may have what you are looking for.

Gettting a Better Credit Card Rate

Not too long ago I was reviewing my credit card rate when I realized the company is increasing my rate once again. Have I missed a payment? Been late? Nope. They just seem to be losing customers, so they have to make money some how.

After doing a little research on Mint Credit Cards from UK, I realized they definitely have a better credit card deal than the company I am currently with. Not only do they have a great introductory rate, but they've lowered their APR. Something my credit card company refuses to do!

0% on purchases

0% on balance transfers

0% on added balance transfers

14.9% APR variable

How cool is that??? I know that's a heck of a lot lower than my credit card company. As a matter of fact, it's nearly half the rate! Now if that doesn't entice you, they also allow you to manage your card by mobile text and they have a 24 hour customer service line. Not bad, not bad at all!

Things I Need For the Windows in This House

We've been here for over a month now and we have yet to put any blinds on the windows. I think it is time, don't you? I was checking out Terry Fabrics Blinds and found some really cool Roman blinds there, that would look great in the kitchen! They have a faux suede blind called, Buffalo Roman that is absolutely gorgeous. It's an espresso color that would go great with the kitchen's decor. The Blind is available in 5 sizes, so I'm very sure I can find ones to easily fit the kitchen windows. The company is however, located in the UK, so I'd imagine the shipping would be a little more to here, but I think they would be worth it. If you're interested and need to dress up your windows, they do have a nice selection of other blinds including wooden ones. I had wooden blinds on my living room windows in another home and I loved them. It's definitely worth checking this site out!
