Thinking of the Past
It really amazes me how life can move on, but there are still moments when you remember bits and peices of the past, even if they're not all great.
One of the times I remember was going to bingo and karaoke with an old neighbor years ago. I didn't have really any friends and she was nice to hang out with. Of course that friendship ended when she decided to use me as a cover for her devious adventures unknown to her husband. But one of the memories that really stands out is the sports car her husband bought her. It was bright shiny red and really nice. She drove it past my house and showed it off.
It's funny because it was Ferrari parts that brought up that memory. I don't even know why. I wasn't jealous of her vehicle. For one, her husband decided not to buy it. Which was a good idea given the end circumstances! Still, I often wonder whatever became of the two, yet I really don't want to waste my time finding out. Does that make any sense?

Win a Hybrid Car
With the economy as it is right now, it would be nice to have a vehicle that is not only reasonable on gas, but also easy on the environment. Right now Charter cable is giving away a new Honda Civic Hybrid just for registering with them or buying their services.
The only downfall to this terrific contest is, you must be in a Charter services area to win! There are no Charter services around here, so I am hoping one of my reader's wins! That would be so awesome!
Here are the Car's Details:
Polished Metal Metallic (My favorite color, damn them!)
Up to 45 mpg highway (I wish our truck would get this!)
Fabric interior (Warm in the winter and cool in the summer!)
USB Audio Interface (Nice!!!!!!)
110-hp, 8 valve, SOHC i-VTEC® 4-cylider engine (Guy Talk!)
Continuously variable transmission (See above!)
MP3 Auxiliary Input Jack (My hubby would find this cool!)
Okay, so to be honest I’ve never used Charter services and know nothing of what they are like. And as many places as I have lived, you would think, some freakin’ area would have Charter, but nope! I haven’t heard anything bad about them, however. Sooooo that’s good news!
Now, one thing. If you win, can you at least let me know. Leave a comment or something, please! I would love to know if you won the car!

Update on My Goal
Well, I am behind again, but at least I have been working towards my goals. If you're not familiar with what I am doing, I want to pay off the credit card debt I have and buy a car. Those are my main goals. I have other financial goals as well, but those are the first on the list. Unfortunately there were days I wasn't able to work at enough money to put towards my goals. However, there were other days where I made more than enough to put towards my goals. So in the end, it all equaled out. I would like to put more towards the goals to get them paid off faster, but that's another story, another day.
In the mean time, to solve the problem of my hubby not wanting to budget, I am just paying the bills as I get them. So far he's doing good with putting the amount needed for the house in the savings account. :)

A Better Advantage in Car Rental
I must admit, I would love to see more than just the one car rental place we actually have in town. While their prices are fairly reasonable, I wasn't impressed with the fact that it took them nearly a week to refund the extra money they were holding from the car rental.
Maybe there's a better advantage.. HA Pun intended...like, Advantage car rental. But alas, there isn't an advantage in our area. So we're stuck using the one we have.
Maybe you'll have more of an advantage in your area? Hey, if that convertible shown on their website is only $20.99 a day to rent? I'd be all for it! That's not bad at all compared to what it costs to rent a car around here. And aside from the fact that we can't rent a convertible in this town, in the first place. Advantage definitely has a bigger selection of vehicles to choose from! Yep. That's what we get for living in a small town!

I'll Miss That Damn Rental Car!!! :*(
I've also been expanding my blogs. In addition to my insane writer's blog I will be adding a new blog soon. I'll post more about that and a link to it later. I've also added another new blog. It's sort of a diary from my characters for my novel, "The Generation." So, yep... I've been a bit busy. Which as I said, has been kinda nice.
Sadly, in about an hour I have to return our little nissan that we rented for the weekend. I love that little car and I will miss it. I can't wait to be able to drive a car again instead of walking 4 miles or more a day to get to the library, store, etc. Granted, my husband does drive me on Friday's to the store, but if I am out of something while he's at work, then I'm on foot. I love the exercise, don't get me wrong, but sometimes it's a bit much!

Gonna Have to Buy a Car....
While I may not live in the UK, I am sure I am not alone in needing a car. Right now, I am able to get to and from work since my husband is able to drop me off and a friend is able to pick me up. However, that may very well change in the future and soon! I've already walked the three-mile journey home once, I really don't want to do that again! With gas prices on the rise, a car that is reasonable on gas is a must for me! Since summer is approaching, what I would love to do is buy a bike. Even a simple mo-pad would do.
The one great thing about Buy Your Car's website is, they offer both privately owned and dealership owned vehicles. You can look for a car by specific details such as, make, model, year and even color. How insane is that? The website also offers tips on what to look for when buying a car, what sort of questions to ask the seller and they even provide you with an 18 points buyer’s checklist.
I wonder if there is a US based website that can do all of that???

Road Blocks
I am now hoping by the end of February/beginning of March to finally end that road block and purchase a vehicle. Once I do, I know I will need insurance. I just wonder how expensive it's going to be. I remember when I lived on the west coast how expensive car insurance was!
I am sure it is no different in Modesto, California where family lives. Cost of living alone is really expensive there, so why pay more than what you have to for something like car insurance.
Cost-U-Less Insurance can save you money by offering reasonable costs at one of their many locations like, modesto car insurance. It's a simple as that. They have locations in both Northern and now Southern California.
Quotes are free, so there is nothing to lose. If you live in the California area and you're looking for a better insurance company for your vehicle, check them out. I know if they offered insurance around here or I still lived on the west coast, I would.

In the Spirit of this Thing We Call Christmas....
Car Angels is one of those people. They take car donations from people like you and helps others with your donations. Car Angel (www.carangel.com) is a non-profit company that uses car and other donations to make videos for kids and teens. They have given away over 2.4 million videos.
Like this one:
Giving your car as a donation to Car Angels is also tax deductible. How cool is that? Even better is, they also except homes, rvs, boats and even planes.
The best thing however is the fact that you'll be giving your donation to a child or teen who enjoys the videos that car angel makes. Now seriously, how cool is that???

Britney Spears.. Will There be Justice?
CelebTV not only shows us the accident as Britney looks at her own car and then walks away, they also got a chance to interview the victim of Britney's fender bender. Check it Out: Britney Flashback.
I really hope that Britney does swallow her fame to stardom and does the right thing by paying for damages done to the victim's car. It's all the lady is asking for. No big cash settlement, no new car..... just the damage fixed to her car. Come on Britney. It's the right thing to do and you know it.

Is Britney Spears Running Scared?
On Monday, pop-star Britney Spears was seen hitting a parked car. She then got out of her car, looked at her own car and then went on her merry little way. Truth be told, this isn't new news to the media and it certainly isn't just a celebrity matter either. The big difference is, celebrities are well-known and have a lot of money where the rest of society isn't always in the lime light and they don't have big bucks.
So what gives? Do celebrities fear the worse when they get into fender benders like Britney Spear's? It's definitely a thought. While we are not all greedy when it comes to the all mighty dollar, there are some who if given the chance, would take advantage of Britney Spear's fender bender situation. They would ask for a ridiculous amount of money that would never be asked for if it were anyone non-famous.
The result? Celebrity's like Britney Spears running scared.
It doesn't seem to be the case in Britney Spear's story, however. All the woman is asking for is the damages to her car paid for. And of course, no matter how a celebrity may look at it, it's certainly not fair to the victim involved. Of course, this might not even be the reason Britney left the scene of the accident. Whatever her reason, it was simply uncalled for.

Hotel Reservations Are a Must!
Summer is almost here and with it comes vacations. Not only that, but for me I have a honeymoon I am hoping to be able to fulfill as well as a trip to Oklahoma in September to see my oldest son. I know the hotels and vacation rentals don't come cheap, so I did a little search with www.hotelreservations.com and found that they do have Cheap Hotels!
Not only that, but I also discovered I can rent a car with them! Something else I am in definite need of! With www.hotelreservations.com I can easily save up to 70% off on all of my travel needs. I don't even think my local car rental place can beat that.
The cool thing about Hotel Reservations is that I can book my travel needs for just about anywhere in the world. I can book a flight, car rental and hotel rental all in one. I can also book a cruise vacation with them! Just what I was looking for as a honeymoon idea. How cool is that!!
When you go to their website, check out their destination guide. From there you can research and plan your trip. I'm already thinking this place will come in handy for future vacations. Maybe a route 66 road trip?? Hotel Reservations isn't just limited to hotel rentals either. You can find condo rentals as well as bed and breakfast rentals. And if you're looking for a great vacation package, this is the way to go! Maybe I'll get that honeymoon after all!!
Now the really cool thing that I just found out is that they offer up to $100 in rebates when you book a hotel. Free Money!!! Not bad at all!!! I also just saw that they have group rates. Hmm and my fiance and I were talking about friends and family vacationing in Disney Land not too long ago. Maybe the way to go!
Not from the USA? Not a problem. I see that they have Spanish, French and Italian, just in case you're more comfortable with your home's language.
Heck! I'm seeing that they even have spa packages! Honeymoon! Here we come!!! Be sure to check out Hotel Reservations and let me know how your vacation goes!
